I'll just note that, as of now, Cookie AutoDelete doesn't (at least for me) automatically delete cookies associated with a container. But aside from that, I haven't noticed any major issues.
With regard to Self-Destructing Cookies, according to its developer, Self-Destructing Cookies "is incompatible with Firefox 55+" and that "it will not be rewritten as a WebExtension." So I really appreciate that Kenny Do has stepped in to provide a worthy successor.
Many thanks to Kenny Do!Tzolin rutzij b'anonel
xtalüx rutzijol 8 jierren lynThanks for using it. I'm currently working on the next major version 2.X.X which I hope to release a beta version soon. - Rated 5 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 13170600, 8 jierren lynI am so tired of Google invading my browser. This little add-on though maybe not perfect is close to it!
- Rated 3 out of 5ruma Robertomcat, 8 jierren lynHello Goodnight.
I had a question about this add-on. It turns out that when I log into a webpage with the plugin turned on so I do not store any cookie, when I close the tab and re-enter after a few seconds, the session is still started. Why is this happening?
Another question. I have accessed a web page where I have also logged in and I have told the add-on that I did not wipe cookies from this site (blue icon). Then I closed the web page, and I came back and I told him to complement the cookies after closing the tab (red icon). After closing the entire browser, and when I returned to the same web page, the indicator showed the blue color with the indication "Never clean (white list)". I do not understand this supplement.
Thank you for your work! - Rated 5 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 13284623, 8 jierren lynThis extension is great, it is a must.
My bummer is that I was having
"privacy.firstparty.isolate = false" in firefox settings, for months, which prevented it from working.
I know this is not _your_ bug, but it would really be nice if the extension could check this config value and give a warning to user that nothing works!
The current result of the combination is a distastrous feeling of privacy.
Thanks for this great extension anyway! - Rated 4 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 13281229, 8 jierren lynWork just as good if not better then SDC, seeing SDC is not gona get updated I will start use this, sadly it has same limitations of not being able to whitelist 3rd party site cookies, so those cookies must be done threw firefox whitelist system, if firefox is set to never accept 3rd party cookies. from my undertanding this not issue with the addons, but how the 3rd party cookies work? none the less great replacement for SDC and will look foward to years of use out this addon
- Rated 3 out of 5ruma Sylwester, 8 jierren lynIt works, but everything is so ugly (menu, settings etc.) and there is no way to hide ridiculous (sometimes) hundreds of removed cookies log in menu!
The old (but not working nowadays) Self Destructing Cookies was beautifull comparing to this.
This is nothing personal, just look at other addons like Bitwarden or Ghostery.
UI MUST be reworked, because now it looks like work-in-progress version 0.1.Tzolin rutzij b'anonel
xtalüx rutzijol 8 jierren lynhttps://github.com/Cookie-AutoDelete/Cookie-AutoDelete/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+label%3Aenhancement%2Fui - Rated 5 out of 5ruma youKnowWho, 8 jierren lynGreat but lacks whitelisting complete domain as opposed to whitelisting only subdomain.
- Rated 5 out of 5ruma nakivagyok, 8 jierren lynI suggest changing the blue color to green (at Never Clean option), like at Self-Destructing Cookies, much more understandable.
- Rated 5 out of 5ruma RobertJ, 8 jierren lynThis add-on does everything you could want in cookie management. In testing it on FF57a it works as described.
- Rated 5 out of 5ruma DAS, 8 jierren lynBrilliant, but I have to agree with previous poster, Active Mode is a poor choice of name.

- Rated 5 out of 5ruma David Hedlund, 8 jierren lynGood as Self-Destructing Cookies, plus that Cookie AutoDelete comes with a useful import/export tool.
- Rated 5 out of 5ruma cosmicomics, 8 jierren lynThis add-on is good at deleting ordinary cookies, but, unlike Self-Destructing Cookies, it doesn't offer the option of hiding the window and turning off the noise when cookies are being deleted. It's especially irksome when I'm listening to music while browsing. I would very much appreciate it if you could add this option.
Edit 1
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I'm referring to the noise that comes with the notifications. I downloaded the add-on yesterday, and the preferences page showed the "welcome" text, but not the settings. Now it does. I haven't checked "Show Notification After Cookie CleanUp," but that hasn't had any effect. I've clicked "SAVE," but there's no indication that anything has been saved.
One last thing: After each setting there's a question mark, but when I click on a question mark nothing happens. I had hoped that clicking would show a short explanation of what the setting does. It would be helpful if it did.
Edit 2
I deleted Firefox and re-added it without the old files, and now I have access to the settings. Everything seems to work as it should. Thanks for your help.Tzolin rutzij b'anonel
xtalüx rutzijol 8 jierren lynDo you mean the notifications because you can disable that in the settings as I said in the addon page.
Edit 1:
I think either your Firefox profile might be broken or there's another extension that's disabling JavaScript on the settings page. - Rated 5 out of 5ruma DevilishVicious, 8 jierren lynVery good replacement for Self-Destructing Cookies. Working great so far. I just don't like the toolbar icon, it looks bad, poor resolution perhaps. But it's just a little annoyance. In terms of functionality it does the job very well.

- Rated 5 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 12643713, 8 jierren lynSo far does exactly what described. There are a few UX issues to iron out but otherwise this is great.
Of course, Firefox should include this functionality in the browser. Websites should have to ask permission or be whitelisted before setting cookies that never expire. - Rated 4 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 13251622, 8 jierren lyn
- Rated 5 out of 5ruma Termy, 8 jierren lynThe new "Self Destructing Cookies" - works like a charm!
Only thing i'd like would be cloudsaves and to automatically have the domain whitelisted instead of the subdomain when using the toolbar-button. (so not "addons.mozilla.org" but "*.mozzilla.org" instead) - Rated 5 out of 5ruma John Golby, 8 jierren lynA really great replacement for Self Destructing Cookies and has appeared just in time as 95% of my addons are now classed as Legacy. Could do with a smaller icon though as the numbers are partially obstructed but hey - it works so thank you.
- Rated 5 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 13242041, 8 jierren lynI've had some issues with it at first, but you should read the "About this addon" section to get the gist of it. Although it doesn't really clean the cookies immediately after the tab is closed (even if set to 0), it cleans them after a couple of seconds so it's OK. Really great addon. Keep it up!
- Rated 5 out of 5ruma Nicolas Göddel, 8 jierren lynI am really annoyed about these new WebExtensions because most of my Addons will not longer work with Firefox 57+. So I am glad to find this alternative. There is only one missing option which I would really be happy with: Disabling notifications. Every time I close tabs there are these popups which tell me which Cookie was automatically deleted. I don't need them. Please add a switch to turn them off. Then you will get 5 stars. :-)
Nevermind: Sometimes I am blind. :-D Here you are with 5 stars.Tzolin rutzij b'anonel
xtalüx rutzijol 8 jierren lynPlease check the settings and I even wrote about this in the Usage section. - Rated 5 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 13239435, 8 jierren lyn
