It does an infinitely better job than other similar extensions, issues are rare, and the feature set allows users to set rules for problematic sites. Although it's not always the absolute most performant add-on, the DarkReader team are clever in their solutions, quick to address issues when popular websites cause incompatability, and deserve a ton of praise for this volunteer-created tool. Thanks guys, you're appreciated!

All was just black, except for the icons for the bookmarks in the sidebar. It became useless
Eventually I figured it out.
So here is how it should be explained:
Open the settings of the Dark Reader > Click the "More" tab > Click "All Settings" > Click/toggle "Change Browser Theme" so that it says "Default browser theme is active".
If you want some custom browser theme, install it or enable it AFTER all this procedure through Firefox Themes settings. You actually may need to uninstall and reinstall the Dark Reader extension and revert to the default Firefox browser theme in the Firefox settings before all this. - Rated 5 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 18734097, 5달 전

This add-on enables me to use almost any website effortlessly while healing from debilitating photosensitivity. I simply could not have used most of my favorite websites for the last year without it. Any bugs that might arise from other sites updating are SWIFTLY addressed by the developer and with transparency for all users. The dev tools under the hood are robust, and so any site with niche use cases for my personal needs are also accessible. I wish I could throw money at the dev for providing an invaluable tool for so many people, working tirelessly to uphold its quality, and helping so many of us use the internet without pain. I hope this review, and the hundreds of people I have recommended this app to (many of which are abled but just enjoy reduced eyestrain now!!!), can be the next best thing!

It offers to change websites to a dark version, that otherwise do not offer the option. But if a site does offer already a dark theme, Dark Reader offers users to opt out from altering an already dark site to it's dark version. It is also possible to disable darkening sites all together. The preview interface (which I can't wait to see fully implemented) also support dynamic switching to a dark theme.
The author faces many uphill battle to support this add-on, and the fact that they still provide support despite all the backlash is more astonishing then anything. May be biased myself, it definitely deserves a positive rating.
