- Rated 5 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 13346998, 6 jierren lynРаботает, в отличии от других. По крайней мере на ютубе авто воспроизведение отключает.
- Rated 3 out of 5ruma Bobby, 6 jierren lynDoesn't perform well enough for initial page load. There will be a brief second or two that the video would still play before it gets replaced by a non-playing video.

- Rated 1 out of 5ruma O()O, 6 jierren lynThis does not work on Firefox portable 63.0.3 (64-bit) on my computer. In the reviews of this app I found the best answer written by thomas glico. Editing about:config - media.autoplay.default 1 works perfectly.
- Rated 2 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 13360870, 6 jierren lynGreat idea with the menu and all... but it does not work. YouTube playlist keeps playing next videos.

- Rated 3 out of 5ruma thomas glico, 7 jierren lynthe best solution :
https://support.mozilla.org/fr/questions/1238091
in about:config you can set media.autoplay.default to 1 in order to block automatic playback on all pages or set it to 2 to decide on a per domain basis. - Rated 5 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 10894950, 7 jierren lynSimply, functionally - The Best! Thanks!
- Rated 2 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 12778646, 7 jierren lynI appreciate the effort that it takes to write plugins so no hating here, just comment on why this wasn't a solution for me. Firstly, as others have said, it takes a while to kick in. It plays a few seconds of the video before it is stopped. This is annoying (mostly for my neighbors). Secondly, the stopping pre-load feature effectively means that one has to click twice to start the video, once to stop pre-load and once to start the video. I used the suggestion that itge13 made in one of the comments (the simple change to the config file) and it works well, so I uninstalled this plugin. It needs a bit more work but on the other hand, the about:config method is quick, easy and works (in Firefox at least) so I see no point in further development.

- Rated 1 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 14088171, 7 jierren lynIt's a piece of sh*t. It doesn't work at all.
- Rated 5 out of 5ruma STaylor9726, 7 jierren lynWorks perfectly with a few other tweaks!
When I first installed this add-on, it worked perfectly. I recently uninstalled it when YouTube updated it's platform.
This is how I got it to work again and how I stopped YouTube videos from preloading, AT ALL.
1. Get this other add-on YouTube Design Preserver 2.2.0 https://github.com/GuyXY/YouTube-Design-Preserver. Set it to 'Old Layout'
2. In your web browser, go to About:Config. Scroll down to and double click media.autoplay.enabled. This will change the value from 'True' to 'False'. No media on any site is allowed to start playing automatically. - Rated 4 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 13917714, 7 jierren lyn
- Rated 3 out of 5ruma fonzkji, 7 jierren lynSomehow works - but always lets the video play for a couple seconds, then reloads the page and then disables the video on the reloaded page...
