Google Search in English, Always ruma neighborhood-dog

Search engine for Firefox to search Google in English with the country set to America and personalization of search results turned off. Also sets your homepage to Google in English, Firefox will ask if you want to keep your current homepage or replace it with the suggested by this extension.

The extension also provides search suggestions but I haven't found a way to make Google return them in English, they are always in the local language as detected by your IP address.

I made it for myself so that I don't have to manually generate and configure OpenSearch for each Firefox I install (or reinstall). I publish it here because the stable version of Firefox requires a signed add-on and also because it may be useful to other people with the same problems I'm experiencing with Google.
