2019-07-23: lessnoise doesn't (yet) work with the recently updated Twitter web UI. So far only the hiding of trends, "who to follow"-box, and sidebar footer works.

lessnoise lets you filter your Twitter timeline and improves Twitter's web UI.

Available filters:

• #example filters out all tweets tagged with "example"
• @example filters out all tweets mentioning user "example"
• example filters out all tweets containing the text "example"
• block @example filters out all tweets from user "example"
• retweets from @example filters out all retweets from "example"
• arabic characters, chinese characters, and japanese characters filter out all tweets containing Arabic, Chinese, or Japanese characters, respectively

You can add the filters manually via the filter sidebar, or via the filter menu available below each tweet.

UI improvements:

• hides "Who to follow" box
• hides trends box
• hides sidebar footer
• hides promoted tweets
• expands URLs
