I often forget how to run the extension. The "Merge all windows" action is available in the context menu of any tab when multiple windows are open. I expect to find it in the "Window" menu, but I imagine that is not accessible to add-ons.

Considering it's position in the dialog directly below one other addon I use, I accidentally clicked on it when I didn't want to, and had to separate the windows again.
