To make it worse, they use the term "autofill" to describe their difinitively MANUAL method of entering credentials. It's misleading, and confusing. I even wasted two days communicating with their customer support in a frustrating back-and-forth because they don't understand what "autofill" means.Tzolin rutzij b'anonel

Autofill should work on most websites (by suggesting your saved login items for a particular website when you go to log into that website) the same way that your memorized passwords in your browser might work.
We're working on improving the autofill functionality for all web services reported by our community. Please feel free to flag any problematic web services or apps to us either by editing your review or by contacting us at pass@protonme.zendesk.com, and we'll note your feedback for future improvements. Thank you for taking the time to rate and review our extension! - Rated 5 out of 5ruma Ashley, 2 năm trướcProton pass is a good password manager tool. It doesn't have many of the bells and whistles that other pass managers have. The autofill is a little buggy right now but manageable. It is still new and will improve over time. The encrypted password generation & storage is sufficient for my needs.
On desktop, it is simply a browser extension. You can store your accounts, generate strong passwords (up to 64 characters), and lock 🔐 it. It contains a simple Note section, and CC login storage. Separate Authentication Apps and physical security keys are also supported for more login security.
Edit (7/28/2024): I feel like this pass manager has gotten better. They now have dark web monitoring for emails and secure link sharing for info in the manager. So of the autofill is still buggy, but still hoping this will improve over time. I love the email aliasing features and the manager lets you know if you are reusing passwords and if you have weak passwords. - Rated 2 out of 5ruma Haru, 2 năm trướcI hope the Proton team is putting a lot of effort into this extension because currently, it's not working well at all. I'd say that it only offers to autofill my info on about 50% of the sites I've tried to use it on. When I enter new login info for a website, it pretty much NEVER offers to remember it. I would submit bug reports, but I don't want to take the time because it doesn't work more often than it does. I really wish there was a standalone app for Windows instead of only the browser extension because I'd like to be able to use it for passwords that are outside of the browser as well. I also worry that there could be security vulnerabilities that are due to the browser and extension ecosystem. I'm a paid subscriber and rather disappointed, at the moment.

Feel free to contact us at pass@protonme.zendesk.com with more details about your device model, app version, and which exact websites/apps don't work, so we can document your report in order to improve our extension in upcoming updates. - Rated 4 out of 5ruma 73cesna, 2 năm trướcAprès 2 semaines d'utilisation sur Firefox je suis agréablement surprise.

- Open the extension
- Select + in the top right
- Select 'Password'
- Type: Random password
- Use the slider to select between 4 and 64 characters for the password length - Rated 3 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 18013034, 2 năm trướcLove the idea. Currently very buggy.
80% of the time outofill on existing logins does not work.
I do not want to import from outher sources, to prevent importing old accounts with invalid pw data.
So want to organically fill it upon time once I login to certain pages. But exactly this is not working because the ProtonPass dialog does either not show up at all on the login screen, or its not possible to fill in all information.
Reddit for example. Dialog did not even show up.Tzolin rutzij b'anonel

In it's current state, passwords fail to autosave, autofill is shaky and it is probably a good idea to use in conjunction with something like Bitwarden. Hopefully they will resolve this swiftly.Tzolin rutzij b'anonel
xtalüx rutzijol 2 năm trướcHi! Did a password fail to auto-save when you generate it directly through the suggestion while signing up at a certain web service? If so, you can view any generated passwords in the past day by opening the Pass extension → select + → Password → Password history.
This way you can find the password and save it in your login item for which it was created.
As for autofill, could you let us know for which apps/web services it didn't work, so we can document this for future improvement? We're saving all feedback from our community in order to improve autofill further and further in future updates. - Rated 4 out of 5ruma Firefox okisanel 17632393, 2 năm trướcStill getting used to it, lock function not working on Firefox, it does on Chrome.
Tzolin rutzij b'anonel
xtalüx rutzijol 2 năm trướcThat sounds odd. Can you explain a bit further how the lock function isn't working? What Firefox version are you using? Do you have any other extensions installed, and if so, could you try disabling them to see if there are any incompatibilities by any chance? - Rated 5 out of 5ruma Xodox, 2 năm trước
- Rated 5 out of 5ruma Gabarito, 2 năm trướcWhen I imported my passwords, I made a mistake and can't delete default vault to start over the importing process. I already have communicated it to Proton Team 6 months ago, but it seems that they did not solve the problem. It happens using free account. I hope, someone is reading this and could add this to todo list. Thanks.

However, the user interface could see enhancements, particularly in terms of detail management. As it stands at the time of this review, only a limited portion of the screen is available for editing all your details.
A key gripe for me is the inability to adjust your login email address—a restriction that Proton itself doesn't see as crucial, suggesting users subscribe to a new package with a different address if desired. This is puzzling, especially since I've managed to alter my email address on other secure platforms like sync.com, which also incorporate end-to-end encryption. Such experiences affirm that this feature, indeed, can be integrated, even within E2E encryption models' framework.
Despite these early developmental challenges and teething issues—commonplace for any new product—Proton Pass, barring the aforementioned points, proves itself to be an impressive offering.Tzolin rutzij b'anonel
xtalüx rutzijol 2 năm trướcIf you're on a premium plan, you're able to log in with any of the additional email addresses you may have on your single paid account.
It's not possible to alter or disable the original email address tied to your Proton account at the moment, as this is not only used for Pass but all other Proton services as well.
