You've got mail!

The red doesn't disappear when I check my reddit mail. I have to close my entire browser and reopen it.

Stopped working a week ago.

I send and receive a lot of messages on Reddit. After Reddit Notifier stopped working for me, and Reddit Inbox Revamp never having worked for Firefox, I turned to Reddit Mail Checker in desperation. Good news is, it does exactly what it says it does. If you have unread messages in your inbox, the icon turns red, and you can click on it to go to your inbox.

However, it has no other features (such as a sound option) and tells you nothing else - not how many messages you have, or who they're from, or when they were sent. All it tells you is that you have at least one unread message.

Reddit Mail Checker works exactly as advertised and is a lot better than nothing. I just wish it did a little more.

Works well, until you start using Reddit in a container. Then it doesn't work anymore.

Works really well. Unfortunately not configurable at all. It would be nice to be able to change the check interval, the colors, or to add a sound effect.

Works but there's no actual notification, and you can't set the check time interval.

I'd like to see configurable options like Reddit Notifier had and a selection of icons for the toolbar button.

This extension works really well with my reddit notifications!

Great for telling "at a glance" if you have messages waiting without having to open tab.
Blue antenna means "not logged in" so it can't check.
Orange for messages waiting.
No color (clear) for no messages
Very nice. No issues.
