Firefox V 65.0.2 (im Win7-System mit AMD Phenom II 1090T) ) stürzt nach ca. 5 Sek. ab. Firefox mußte neu installiert werden, ohne Ghostery (letzte Version).
Wenn man schnell ist und das Add-on (Ghostery) über die "Extras" > "Add-ons" > "Erweiterungen" nach dem Firefox-Start deaktiviert, bevor Firefox das Licht ausgeht, erspart man sich die Neuinstallation von Firefox. Dieser Fehler trat mit der neuesten Version 8.3.1 auf. Bei meinem Zweit-PC und beim Laptop (mit älteren Prozessoren) trat dieses Problem nicht auf.

Nach dem heutigen Update (21.3.19) von Firefox von V 65.0.2 auf 66.0 schmiert Firefox nach der Intallation von Ghostery nicht mehr ab. Das Absturzproblem lag somit an Firefox V 65.0.2 selbst und nicht an Ghostery.
Habe meine Bewertung von 1 Stern auf 5 Sterne für Ghostery korrigiert.
In Zukunft ist kritisch zu beobachten, wenn Firefox aktualisiert wird.

Wir untersuchen das Problem hier aktiv. Dieses Problem wurde mit Firefox 65.0.2 eingeführt. Wir haben seit ungefähr einem Monat keine Veröffentlichung auf Firefox vorgenommen. Hier ist das Bugzilla-Ticket, wenn jemand mitmachen möchte: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1535589

    Blocked two trackers right off the bat (after page refresh.) In the past this addon has caused lag, or addded to it, or crashed or stopped working.) It's been several years so I'll try it again. Will come back later and bump the stars up if it stays good for a few weeks.

    Brilliant add on. Haven't had to put up with ads since I installed it. It even seems to bypass YT's ad blocker detection algorythm!

    Never had a problem with it. It's also free and I haven't found any evidence (thus far) that it's any sort of malware or the such. It doesn't work 100% of the time but 90% of the time is works well, it isn't terrible at all in resource usage (mainly looking at RAM here), but it could be a factor if your device is on the older side.

Still its pretty neat stopping all the micro scrubbers that want quick cash and surveillance for product opportunities to unload into your eyeballs at the precises second of maximum purchase likelihood. Overall I give this preem product that stops gonk eddie hustlers from stealing our data, five Militech Sandevistans outa 5.

    Works amazingly at what it does, just has an annoying pop-up for leaving a review. If it didn't have that, it would be 5 stars.

    Phenomenal app. Saves you from the dangers of the web. I combine it with a few other apps and don't have to deal with any trackers or dangerous pop ups from the sites I visit. Been using it for more than 9 years now.

    Ghostery was recommended to me years ago at a seminar for librarians on Internet searching. I've used it ever since, both at home and at work, and it does a great job keeping intrusive ads to a bare minimum. It works with most sites, and if a site asks me to disable it temporarily, there's a real difference before and after. I've recommended it to family, co-workers, and friends.
