The lag is real and not just a myth, please don't just deny it instead try to fix the issue.

My youtube is lag heavily for at least couple months (I even switch to freetube but switch back because it got some problems too).

I tried browser switcher and many things but never solve the problem. Pretty much youtube will lag heavily (pause and move 5 second can take over 5 seconds to respond) after I use it for more than 5-10 minutes.

Today I just remove the extention and the problem solved. I've been using youtube for at least over 3 hours now and there's no lag anymore.

Please don't say any excuse and try to fix the issue.

I usually only open less than 5 tabs on my browser and saying that you guys are just some volunteer is not a reason to not fix your extention.

Excelent Add-On. Works like a charm. Feature requests:
1. Option to default disable auto-dubbing aka always choose different dub than English if available, which can't be set in YT's own settings :( I'd like to have auto translated subs, but n.e.v.e.r auto translated dubs. I rather understand nothing & be forced to learn than to be kept dumb
2. Stop the audio-volume & image-quality reset when switching to mini-player. When one searches while playing a playlist the playback switches to mini-player mode (so the playback doesn't break while getting some results). However, if you changed the volume from the set default volume level (bc some creators speak louder while others speak quiter), the volume and video quality (in case that was what you changed) levels are reset to the default level. Please fix that.
3. A search field above the playlists add-to popup. I've watched youtube since day 1 back in 2005 and I've build up quite a library of playlists over the years to organise the vids I like/-d or find/found interesting and wanna save. So much so, that I now sometimes unknowingly end up remaking playlist (names) or alternate version bc I didn't know I already had a matching list to save to. Plus, when I do remember (99.9%), I sometimes need to scroll through all the lists to find the matching list to save to, which can be troublesome bc when scrolling on normal speed, the matching list can easily be overlooked by accident, leading to rescrolling and rescrolling and rescrolling till I finally find the list

Suspected performance issues ongoing since late autumn early winter 2024 - currently operating Firefox with extension disabled and haven't had to restart for over 24hrs. Will try to follow up in a week or so.

OMG! This addon is too powerful, it makes YouTube so much customisable. I love it. I hope it will be continuously developed and updated. It also blocks ads in built, so useful. The 1-star reviews r not true, and i hope this project will hav continued donations. Unfortunately, i aint got the money to donate :(

was working for a period of time but in the last month any settings used would lag youtube; back button and pause taking forever.
removed extension and youtube stared working again, unfortunate as it was a good addition :/

because of this extension, YouTube started to hang heavily on my PC, which eventually results in a banner saying that the tab slows down firefox, the same thing on the second PC, but it freezes TIGHTLY.
the exclusion method revealed this extension. oh, it inspired great hopes 😭😭😭

Please add an option to move the position of YouTube's subtitles. I believe this feature is built-in on PC, but it's not available on Android. Adding it would be a great improvement.

Its about high time i gave this a great review. without extensions like this one youtube is simply unusable. trim out all the fluff, get rid of all the influencer garbage, the unfair algorythms promoting constant garbage in your face, this extension does a great job at just cleaning up your youtube and finally make it just about the content again. i've been using this for many years now, i should have reviewed it much earlier, but hey better late than never, i hope!

The import/export settings buttons do not work.
The live chat collapsed option has the same behavior as normal, while the hide option leaves an empty space on the right side of the window, collapsing the video description and the recommended videos.

Please add customize for short video.
