This is the most powerful and fully-featured YouTube add-on but it's making weird, bad decisions. I dealt with the overload of navigation items. But when it gets updated now, it blocks the YouTube logo to tell me it has new features and I have to refresh every single YouTube page...

Great plugin. Bad design.

the latest updates did nothing but detract from the add-on and worsen the experience. one made it so you have to click farther away to access the add-on's buttons, the other made it so you need another click before you can access them in the form of a triple dot icon. and finally expanding the video player does not work correctly most of the time ever since these updates rolled out. i don't know why they're doing this but this used to be my #1 extension. now i'm forced to roll back to out of date versions.

They changed the ui and when they did that it became worse, but as of today i believe, they have since fixed some of the issues with the new one. one example is whenever i clicked expand it would leave behind the expand text in the middle of my screen so i would have to hover over the button again to fix it. this was my main gripe with the new ui and now it is fixed.

Honestly *LOVE* this extension/add-on!!! 😊 Been using it for years and it's the best YouTube extension I've come across. Well done to the developer!! The new updates have been awesome!! Anyone with design/developer knowledge can see how much work has gone into this. *LOVE IT*!! Thank you!! 😊

The latest changes made to this addon have forced me to go back to an older version, because I have a widescreen monitor. I don't want to move my mouse all the way to the right side of the screen to activate cinema mode. It's very annoying on the wrist. Previously the button was located at the bottom center of the screen, which is where the mouse cursor naturally tends to be located. Also there was another update which added the three dots UI icon that you now have to click/hover on before the cinema mode button appears, yet another pointless user action that adds nothing but annoyance. With addons like this the only thing that really matters (to me) is the efficiency / ease of use. Every single wasted click or mouse movement negatively impacts the user experience, this is especially true if you spend a lot of time on YouTube like I do. I still happily give this four stars because the 'old' version is excellent as always, and the negative aspects of the newer version may not bother other people as much.

lmao my original review "mysteriously" disappeared, so I'm lowering the score. The addon itself is good, but as I stated in my original review I wish there was an option to revert back to the original UI

Plus a shit ton of options added in the recent update from a few days ago.

Why is it not possible to make the expanded interface permanent?

It's basically a 5-star add-on, full of features, but even after a big update I still have following problem. when I use boost volume, the change speed option stops working... I'm on aurora update currently ff 87 and nightly ff 88 - -this is FF problem as brave browser works ok

Really awesome powerful extension for youtube. Has great features and is easy to use. The developer listens to the people and updates the product based on user feedback consistently and squashes any bugs. Personally I don't find the new design to be intrusive at all. If anything it's less intrusive and blends in very well to the youtube UI. What was once a white bar constantly at the bottom of your screen, is now three dots that only opens if you hover over it on the youtube video media player. It looks much nicer this way.

All the other reviews complaining just can't handle change. Probably the same people that freaked out when phones switched to USB-C. The only thing I can think of is create a toggle in the setting to "use old UI" for those that simply can't handle change.

Horrible new update, can't even remove that new three dot icon they just added to the Youtube player. By default, this add-on is bloat; you'd be astonished by how cluttered your Youtube player will be if you don't tick off UI options in this add-on's preferences.

I hate the new version, is intrusive with the UI and override the youtube options/behavior. I still using this, just for the cinema mode.

Amazing especially after the new update. makes it look very clean! There are also a lot of options for customization so you can tweak it to your liking.

My only gripe is that it seems that opening a new youtube video in a new tab or window, that the theater mode disables itself. I can literally see the page load in with the video in theater mode, and then return to normal size when page is fully loaded. This does not happen if I move from one video to the next in the same tab.

Another small quality of life thing in my opinion is that it would be nice to have all of the enabled toggles available at all times instead of being hidden away with the more options toggle. I only use a few of these toggles so it doesn't feel cluttered to me. Maybe make a toggle for this?
