Introduction

Filter Everything Online helps you hide or replace unwanted content while keeping your browsing experience under your control. This policy explains what data is stored locally, what may be used for optional account features, and how we protect your privacy.
What Happens in Your Browser

The extension checks page content locally in your browser to find matches for your own keywords, groups, blocked sites, schedules, and Smart Modes. Matching content can then be hidden or replaced on the page. This local processing is what makes filtering work on the websites you visit. We do not need to receive full page content for filtering to work.
Information Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device:

Custom keywords and keyword groups
Blocked sites and domains
Smart Mode settings
Replacement style settings
Schedules and site exceptions
Temporary pause and snooze settings
Local filtering statistics
Login and session data if you sign in


Optional Account and Sync Data

You can use the extension locally without creating an account or using sync. If you sign in and enable account sync, your settings may be synced across your own devices. Synced settings may include keywords, keyword groups, blocked sites, filter mode, Smart Modes, and replacement settings. Sync is used to restore your settings and premium access across devices.

Keyword lists stay local unless you choose account sync. We do not sell synced settings or use them for advertising.
Account, Login, and Premium Data

Your email address may be used for account access, password reset, support, and to verify premium access. Google login is optional and used only for authentication. Google login does not give us access to Gmail, Drive, contacts, calendar, or any other Google account content. Your subscription status is used only to unlock premium features.
Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider. We do not store full card numbers. Payment providers handle payment details according to their own privacy policies.
Feedback and Support

If you submit feedback, we receive the message you write and optionally account or email information needed to respond or investigate. Please do not include sensitive page content in feedback unless you choose to provide it.
Website Analytics and Cookies

The website may use cookies, consent tools, and analytics to understand visits and improve the website. Users in regions that require consent can manage their choices through the consent banner. Website analytics is used to improve the website and does not read extension page content.
Permissions Explained
Permission Why it is used
Storage Used to save settings, sync state, local statistics, snoozes, and login/session data.
Tabs Used to read the current tab's URL and domain so site-specific rules, current-site controls, and refresh behavior work correctly.
Favicon Used to show saved blocked sites with recognizable icons in the extension popup.
Identity Used only for optional Google sign-in. Not used for any other purpose.
Host permissions Used so the extension can run on websites you visit and locally detect, hide, or replace content according to your own rules.
What We Do Not Do

We do not sell personal data.
We do not sell browsing history.
We do not sell or share keyword lists for advertising.
We do not use filtering rules to target ads.
We do not read Gmail, Drive, contacts, or calendar data through Google login.
We do not collect full page content for filtering.
We do not use page content to train AI models.


Service Providers

We use trusted providers only to operate the product:

Supabase — authentication, database, optional sync, and backend functions
Stripe (or another payment provider) — payment processing
Google — optional OAuth login
Website analytics and consent providers — website analytics and cookie consent


Your Choices

You are in control of your data. You can:

Use local settings without account sync
Export or delete settings where available in the extension
Clear extension data through your browser settings
Pause or remove filters at any time
Contact support for account or data requests
