the auth popup is beyond annoying. typical apple overkill. in addition, the extension gets confused by multi-homed sites, something that doesn't seem to bother other password managers. instead of offering a choice it just defaults to the first entry found. poor form, apple.

Every time when I start Firefox I have to login to password. this is very annoying.

The app says "The passwords extension is currently not available on Firefox for Windows." So why is this here if its not available?

It's honestly almost solid. On the first use each day, or maybe even each browser session (I haven't confirmed), it will ask you to punch in a 6-digit code to activate it. Since the 6 digit code is shown, I see no point in this - so it really could just be removed altogether. After all, I am already logged into iCloud, why do I need to "authenticate" this again? The window also seems to position itself on the top-right of the browser window, covering the input field which is mildly annoying but doesn't hinder your ability to enter the code. Once you're past this however, it's fine. It works as expected.

A slow and poorly thought through UX that seems to be more about promoting "Open this page in Safari". If I wanted to use Safari, we wouldn't be here.

Works, but with issues.
First, it doesn't sync the passwords - it masks ones stored in Firefox with ones from iCloud.
Second, it introduces noticeable input lag to remote IDEs like RStudio.

Absolute dogshit on macos.

This extension does not work. Using in macOS Tahoe with latest version of Firefox, and I'm prompted to install the extension every time I try to use it. When I can get past being asked to install a plugin I already installed and paired (despite it being nowhere near straightforward to enter the required passcode) I'm able to pull up stored passwords, but I just get prompted to install the plugin again if I need to create a new password or add a site.

Works great on Mac.

This extension does not work with Firefox, unfortunately. I have the most recent macOS (Tahoe 26.1) and the most recent Firefox but... doesn't work. The security code to verify it never appears. It's disappointing since the Passwords app works so well in Safari. It's a super smooth process there.

Doesn't seem to work with Firefox 145.0.1 macOS Sonoma 14.8.3 (23J216). Tried to do passkey login with Apple Music and it didn't trigger this extension in any way that I can tell. Apple Music did ask for my fingerprint auth before failing.

What a shitty plugin. It slows my browser and Firefox is asking to stop it. Apple demands high standard from App developers but its own software is often buggy and not user friendly.

Basically tt doesn't work, and haven't for more than a year. Keep getting stuck at "Enable Passwords in iCloud for Windows" no matter what I've done. Jumped through all the hoops I could. Use KeePass.

It tries to steer you back to Safari / Passwords app to create new passwords, then makes it a huge pain. Blatantly unnecessary. Newsflash, I ditched Safari because you killed the useful parts of Adblock! I don't want to use your bad browser for a reason!
