🐛 Bug Fixes

Screenshot (was broken) — Fixed a permissions race condition where captureVisibleTab was called before the popup had proper window context. The background now owns the capture handler entirely. Reopening the Snap tab also restores your last screenshot automatically.

Reader Mode (was broken) — Rebuilt from scratch. The old version used innerHTML on cloned DOM which caused content loss on many sites. New version uses cloneNode + direct DOM insertion. Works on 12 different article layouts, falls back intelligently. ESC key now exits. Reading progress bar added at top.



✨ New Features

Speed Dial — Customizable quick-launch grid. Shows your pinned sites + auto-loads browser's top visited sites. Alt+click any tile to remove it.

History Browser — Browse and search 30 days of history directly in the popup. Click any result to reopen it.

Text Highlighter — Enable from Dev Tools, then select any text on any page. Saved permanently to the new Highlights tab with source domain and timestamp.

Element Inspector — Click any element on any page to instantly copy its CSS selector to clipboard.

Per-site Shield Toggle — Privacy tab now shows the current domain and lets you disable/re-enable blocking for just that site, without touching global settings.

Canvas Annotations — Screenshot capture now supports pen and arrow drawing tools, color picker, and stroke size control directly on the captured image.

Note Improvements — Delete and export individual notes as .md files. Strikethrough toolbar button added.

Session Stats Dashboard — Redesigned dashboard shows trackers blocked, URL params stripped, open tab count, and current session uptime.

Stats Reset — One-click reset of all session counters from the dashboard.

Close Non-pinned Tabs — Bulk close button in Tab Manager to clear all non-pinned, non-active tabs.



🔒 Security

Cryptographic Password Generator — Replaced Math.random() with crypto.getRandomValues(). Passwords are now cryptographically secure.

Tracking Header Stripping — New shield layer strips cross-origin Referer headers at the network level, preventing referral tracking across sites.

Expanded Tracker List — Added TikTok Analytics, LinkedIn Pixel, Bing BAT, Snap pixel, and 8 additional ad networks to the block list (now 30+ domains).



⚡ Performance

• Badge update and state save are now throttled — no more storage writes on every single blocked request
• Tab activity tracking is more efficient — no redundant writes
• Popup navigation is snappier — pages animate in at 0.18s

Known Limitations

• Full-page screenshot (entire scroll) is not yet implemented — currently captures visible viewport only
• Vault editor (add/edit entries) is not yet built — generator and viewing work
