This is a very effective extension but it is not without some drawbacks. First, the lite version only allows 5 sites but the full trial is forced on you for several months. This means you have to manually uncheck it for every site you don't want it on. Second, it really eats resources. Third, bugs. A few months ago it was crashing tabs that didn't like an update. A couple of weeks ago an update introduced a memory leak which locked up my entire computer. It took several days to narrow down the source of the leak and yep, it was this addon.

If they make the full version opt-in so that you only get the five free 5 sites and the addon isn't eating all the system resources trying to change all the other tabs then great. Until then I'll avoid it.

Doesn't work properly on sites with its own dark themes, turn on normal mode does nothing - dark becomes white.

Night Eye is an Amazing DARK MODE extension. Best one I have used. It's a winner. Customization options are another bonus. Give it a try , you won't be disappointed.

Very nice, glad that it provides a free trial for several months. Do remember that the pro version costs money, the free version only darkens 5 websites, but the 2-month trial (if I remember correctly) gives you an unlimited amount. Still a high recommendation either way for night owls such as myself.

Recently updated to be only a trial, with either a one-time payment or a subscription to continue use. Since the user has to configure it for most non-major websites, and most major websites are integrating dark mode for free, this really doesn't seem worth the price, especially for an accessibility tool. A donation button would be perfectly fine

you need to pay nine dollars a year or a one-time purchase of 40 to use. They do not make it clear at all on the download page that you will be required to pay to use it after the free trial. They claim that you can use it for free on 5 websites but the free version does not work in my experience. It works well and I would be willing to pay if the one-time purchase cost less or if they were forthcoming in the price.

browsing has never been more pleasant with dark mode on -i recommend this to all who browse n browse ,try n see for urself it takes a min to test

Night Eye is ideal for evening meetings etc. With multiple widows and screens, it often happens that meeting-related activity outside the meeting window will cause sharp changes in light intensity - leaving you a bit dazzled and others on the meeting distracted by the brightness shifts in your tile or reflections in your glasses. It's so much easier on the eyes. I'd love to see an upgrade that compensates better for the variation in website design, but I love it anyway.
