Are there plans to expand this or make an other extension that works for all the sites with streamable content?

You could use some additional extensions to get links of streamable content and use this one to open them with PotPlayer, for example I can open video direct links from FVD extension with PotPlayer in Google Chrome: https://postimg.org/image/hwf24osf9/
