    It could be so useful if only the metadata (url etc.) and the highlighted text were saved to obsidian. Instead, always the complete page is saved, including even videos. No need for this.

    Has become critical to my workflow for capturing things to read later. Saves a step since if I decide to keep the item in my vault I don't have to convert it into Obsidian, as compared to other read-it-later tools that add that step.

    It is so unfortunate that automatically capturing images locally is not supported by the official Obsidian plugin ! Being an ex-Evernote heavy user, I still miss their almost perfect web clipper. For those with the need to quickly capture full pages in md to Obsidian, MaoXian Web Clipper is an interesting alternative.

    Obsidian Web Clipper does not save images, only text. To save images, use the Obsidian command/hotkey "Download attachments for current file". If you are running into any issues with this, please use report issues on the Obsidian forum. Thanks!

    The issue is likely with the underlying HTML to Markdown processor. You can report issues with specific sites here: https://help.obsidian.md/web-clipper/troubleshoot
