    This would be worthwhile solely for its toggle to automatically enable the "more" option to expand the full description (including any chapter list) on all YouTube videos. But it gives you lots of other options, too. The Preferences UI is scattered, and a bit hobbyist and confusing. But the extension is getting better with every update.

    hi! what are the hobbyist parts? The github preview? Prefer a full page UI? (our current one allows to check the change on the Youtube site the same moment.)

    Pros: Minimalist layout, probably does something there's a bunch of settings
    Cons: Doesn't fix the garbage new layout which is the only thing I wanted it to do

    Bad/unfair. You should rate us for the many things we do already. (Who said we would predict every YouTube change immediately 24/7/365 and if you want it or don't want it? ~2x impossible) - Yet you can have a look in our list of topics in the bottom of the extension: https://github.com/code-charity/youtube/issues/2178 (Where you can see how.     I would use this addon if the function that removes clutter (related videos, "recommended for you" stuff, etc etc) is more developed and working properly. Regularly checked if it actually works. Because I know google screws around and tweaks youtube so that many addons related to search results become dysfunctional. When I search and have the "remove related search results" turned on, then I want that to really work, and not face those unwanted videos to sneak up entirely all over the page. And by regularly checked and improved I mean for example one could improve that function by also allowing a ban of all those auto-generated playlists (so called youtube mix), and also the horizontal card lists (videos appear in a horizontal rows on a bar and scroll from left to right or right to left. This appears right in the middle of search results also (so I'm not talking about youtuber homepages).

    exactly what I needed to filter out watched videos and remove those crappy "featured" advertisement. With ublock and this extension I feel complete. Ty software dev for making this great extension

    This is a must have for someone that watches way too much YouTube. One thing I can suggest is to be able hide theater mode button. This is mostly a me problem I'm sure but I don't like theater mode and I find myself hitting it by accident sometimes. Also, I gotta say the like and dislike thing is confusing and now sure what it does. Deleted my bring back dislikes extension because I figured that is what it meant. Even if they aren't perfectly accurate, I think it would be nice for the users of at least this app to show dislikes

    edit: Bumped from 4 to 5 since I now know you can block theater mode and I didn't not know the return YT dislikes was made difficult to implement for the reason stated. Great app that is a game changer and keep it up the work. You make the website I have the most hours on a lot better place.

    hi! thanks! but with 4 stars you decrease our visibility which is unfair / low already.
    Something 'missing' here is rarely a reason for deductions as there are unlimited questions and ideas and we already do too much and have to tidy first. You can hide the theater view button at appearance: player: player controls buttons: view mode. And you can join us on GitHub to improve this linguistically. It is a good idea to integrate data like sponsorblock or rytd, who might be gatekeeping one way or another: https://github.com/Anarios/return-youtube-dislike#api-documentation. (If you spend an hour as a user that is a lot, still chances are people who spent 1000s of hours asked the same questions already. Thats why our Github appears on the front screen recently.

    ... after trying several of the more highly rated extensions, this did come off as the best of the group... imagine why it's received the "recommended" rating

    hi, thanks, a big reason for Mozilla might/should be, because it is open-source? And we do this since 2012 for 400000 users in chrome, etc. Please consider, contrary to the comment, with 4 stars you are actually shrinking (down-voting) this project.
