von Symphonix, vor 4 MonatenI’ve been using Bitwarden for about 10 years, and I’m on the paid plan. I’ve always recommended it over the competition—especially after switching from LastPass following their security issues. I chose Bitwarden because it’s open-source, more secure, and had a clean, user-friendly interface. But the latest changes this week are absolutely terrible.
The new “Fill” button is a disaster. Clicking the row used to autofill—quick and simple. Now, you have to click a tiny “fill” button, and clicking the row just opens the view screen. Bring back the old behavior.
Why are the individual copy buttons hidden behind a sub-menu? There’s plenty of room to keep them visible. This is just unnecessary extra clicks.
Finding Identity and Credit Card info is now a nightmare. Before, I could scroll straight to them. Now it’s buried behind endless password lists, and I have to use a dropdown just to autofill or copy them.
2FA codes are harder to access too. I use Bitwarden for 2FA, and the new layout makes it slower and more frustrating to find and use them.
Overall, too many good features have been removed or buried. Tasks that used to take one click now take multiple steps. It’s a massive downgrade in usability.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Either bring back the old UI or I’m out.

geschrieben am vor 3 MonatenHi. Mare sure you are on version 2024.12.4 or above, then check under Bitwarden Settings > Autofill > "Click items to autofill on Vault view" and Bitwarden Settings > Appearance > "Show quick copy actions on Vault" if you want to restore previous functionality that you may prefer.

The longer the extension is opened the more memory it takes. Browser without this extension switched on takes 600MB memory and after switching it on takes 2600MB. This should be investigated. Users are complaining about that sinco at least 2022.
- Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon tomyo, vor 8 TagenThe default click action on the passwords shown in the drop down list should be to fill the form, not to enter into the details of a login, this was a recent change that's annoying.
Also, I notice spikes in CPU usage from this extension, that are power hungry and impacts my battery life a lot in desktop. - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon adamhybel, vor 9 TagenBitwarden isn't just a password manager; it's your essential key to secure and effortless online logins via its browser extension.

- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon APR, vor 11 TagenWell its ok, but also sucks. For example, it has a report that shows you where you reuse passwords. If you have a single entry that has two different URL's like parts.ford.com and ford.com, it counts that as two passwords, however it is only one. And if from that report you try to delete one, it deletes them both. This kind of BS goes on throughout the app. It seems to be developed by folks who don't think deeply.
Another example? No 2 sites on the internet agree on what makes a password. Some only only all 10 characters, some 20, some restrict what special characters can be used, others dont. Instead of letting you quickly adjust when adding a site or changing a password you have to go change the default settings for the password generator, and then remember to set them back to something secure. Just asinine. - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon ptr, vor 12 TagenAmazing app, and with a selfhosted service like vaultwarden you can manage your own passwords. I have used dashlane and 1password (both are great), but being opensource makes bitwarden the better choice in my honest opinion.

Latest version, ctrl+y to (in firefox) doesn't give focus to the search vault. It may sound trivial, but when I use this password manager in very delicate environments, using the mouse to search is a pain in th a$$
