It works great and I can't imagine browsing without it. Unfortunately has some bugs.

The only shortcut for showing translation is "Ctrl+Alt", but in settings is stated that "Alt", "Insert" or "T" are the ones. You should correct it.

It doesn't work on some pages and edit fields. Is that because of limitations or you excluded something? There shouldn't be any excludes to work properly everywhere.

While I could agree to exclude the google translate page, you should use the 'translate.google.' rule instead of 'translate.google.com', cuz everyone can be in a different region. For example I use 'translate.google.pl' and there it works while in 'translate.google.com' doesn't. I suggested that in previous version, but there I could at least change it manually.

    Fix for Google Translator addon (broken API)
    The addon stopped working because Google discontinued the google.com/async/translate endpoint it relied on, as well as the TKK token system used as fallback.
    Solution: Replace the _getEmbedTranslation function in lib/common.js with a call to the stable translate.googleapis.com/translate_a/single?client=gtx API, which requires no token and returns clean JSON.
    The new endpoint URL pattern:
    h t t p s://translate.googleapis.com/translate_a/single?client=gtx&sl={from}&tl={to}&dt=t&dt=bd&dt=rm&dj=1&q={word}
    The response is parsed via data.sentences[].trans to extract the translation, and data.src for the detected source language.
    The returned object structure is kept identical to the original so the rest of the addon works without any other changes.
    How to apply: Open the .xpi file with 7-Zip, navigate to lib/common.js, and replace it with the patched version.

    Permission "Access your data for all websites" is not needed when working with the current page only.

    Finally an extension that can automatically translate the text and doesn't require to click something! I also love the ability to change the colors and overall the plethora of options!

    All this is is a front end to the google translate page. It saves a little time as it takes you write to the text boxes and you can translate an entire page. Google is getting good at translations, fewer and fewer nonsensicle results. But of course they are spying on you and profiling you when you use it, because that is the evil nature of google. But it works better than imtranslator which puts malware on your machine to open their webpage w/out your permission.
