    I've been using the tab groups on Chrome for a long time, and now that I've switched to Firefox, it was great to be able to continue using them.

    it would be even better if no new group is generated when there's only one tab satisfied the specific rule.


    EDIT: That's awesome! Thanks for the quick response and effort! There's also a related option to consider——automatically dissolve groups when the number of tabs in the group falls below the same (or an independent) threshold. Groups containing few tabs can sometimes be easily distracting and annoying.

    Hey there!

    This was a highly requested feature, so I added it!

    Please make sure to update to version 1.6.0 and above.

    I added the option for setting a minimum tabs threshold before creating a group, including a global threshold, and a rule specific threshold.

    Hi. What a great extension.
    But before using it, I would like to ask a question: is the source code available somewhere? The addon page says it's released under LGPL.
    I have trust issues with software with no source code made available, especially with small developers.

    Second, do you mean by sub-domains? Like "maps.google" and "docs.google"?

    If so, then there is! Just turn on the "Group by sub-domain".

    Oh wow, this is fantastic! Lightweight, fast and a very active developer - and works like a charm! I'd love if I could have it autogroup only select hosts/domains.

    First of all, thanks for compliments! There's never enough of those :)

    Regarding your request - The whole point of the extension for me was to have an auto grouping of my tabs, so that is by design.

    BUT, I do plan on implementing custom rules, so I suppose it would be possible for:
    - auto grouping on
    - Custom rule: Disable grouping for all domains, except specified whitelisted domains such as X, Y, and Z.

    If that's what you mean, that's a good idea! So stay tuned for updates :)

    Hi Nitzan, first, congrats for your work on this. This really helps a lot.
    There's a way to create rules for the new subdomains to be included into an existing Tab Group?
    Lets say, subdomain1 and subdomain2 needs to be added to TabGroup1.
    This way will sort things way better.

    Hey there!

    - If you want to add all sub-domains from a specific domain to be under the same group, there is an option under the "Advanced" section of "Group by sub-domain". You can turn it off to achieve that. For example, for docs.google.com", and "mail.google.com", you would see them *both* under 1 group named "google", instead of 2 different groups of "docs.google", and "mail.google".

    - If you want custom mapping that you yourself can set, I'll make sure to prioritize it in my list of planned features!

    hey this is almost perfect but sometime the extension don't work and when i click group tabs my essential tabs and my pin tabs merge to, i just want my new tabs i open group by domain not tabs i pin earlier

    You can now toggle on/off an option for *only auto grouping new tabs*.

    I fixed the pinned tabs bug.

    So now if you pin tabs - grouping and auto grouping won't touch them. Pinky promise 🤞

    perfect when using horizontal tabs,It would be best if the groups could be named when using vertical tabs.

    Yeah, I'd love that too lol, but I'm waiting for Firefox to enable the option to change the names from their API.

    Right now only the user can set and change group names, but I will do that the moment they'll allow it!
