- Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 6932440, vor 8 JahrenThe name of new bookmark is often a problem. Home is still a popular name. Other new bookmarks have a cryptic name or an acronym as name. DOST for Department of Science and Technology
It is always necessary to control the new bookmark.
Is it possible to see the new bookmark to change the name before or direct after the insertation?Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 8 JahrenI plan to add the ability to change the name (title) when bookmarking single tabs (as opposed to multi-selected or all tabs) in a future version of BTH. - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon McGregorTheBiker, vor 8 JahrenSo far I haven't got an account on this site, but I wanted to give this add-on 5 stars, hence I created one. I can confirm that the newer Firefox versions are better, than the old ones, faster, more reliable, but I was missing the "Add bookmark here" add-on so much, I switched back to an older version of ESR. Unfortunately I had performance issues, I had to switch back to the newer version. I was looking for an extension that allows me to create bookmarks easier. Yes, dear Firefox Mozilla, your bookmarking is ridiculous! Thanks custom.firefox.lady for "Bookmark Tab Here", it saves a lot of time and frustration.

geschrieben am vor 6 JahrenSorry for the very delayed response, but I've just added a new locale to 1.0.1b1 ( see link at http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=3038053 ). If you would still like to submit Polish translation, please post to above support thread or send to my support email.- Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternenvon Judykator, vor 8 JahrenCoś tam działa. Niestety - jak dla mnie - nie daje możliwości zmiany nazwy zakładki, tylko przypisują ją automatycznie.

geschrieben am vor 7 JahrenThere is now a beta available at
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=3038053 that allows you to edit the bookmark name. - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon brain8891, vor 8 JahrenWorks, but it doesn't work on an empty folder.
Edit:
Well I see that, it would be nice if Mozilla allowed developer to have the option to add Menu-item in an empty folder space. Custom.firefox.lady, please suggest that to them because it is more intuitive to click inside the empty folder.
Suggestions:
1- the "Library" context menu does not have "Bookmark Tab here" I think it is possible with the current API, so why not? Why it is important to me? Because sometimes I bookmark many tabs to a certain folder. I can open that certain folder in the Library window and every time I am on an active tab I could navigate to the Library window and "Bookmark Tab (T)here". I have so many nested folders, Navigating them every time I want to bookmark a tab is tedious.
Thanks for your hard work <3Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 8 JahrenYou need to right-click the folder itself to add a bookmark to it. An empty folder does not yet have any menuitems inside it to right-click in order to make the "Bookmark Tab Here" item appear in the context menu. Right-clicking the "Empty" notation will not work and it is not possible for me to change that.
Edit: "Bookmark Tab Here" does not appear in the Library context menu due to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1419195
An alternative would be to drag/drop the item you wish to bookmark, into the Library. - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon avea, vor 8 JahrenThank you so much. This may get me using Firefox again. I haven't used it for over a year because of the lack of a feature like this and a couple of others. I have been using Palemoon which supports the older extensions, but there are some other issues with it.
Not as powerful as "Add bookmark here" but light years ahead of what Firefox offers.
This should be built in. Other browsers have it built in. Konqueror, for one.
Come on Firefox. Time to move beyond 1997. - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 14054542, vor 8 JahrenThe only reason that makes me dump the 55.0.3 ver. Bravo!

- Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 12850543, vor 8 JahrenAnd here I was thinking, Add Bookmark Here's functionality would never be ported to FF Quantum. Never underestimate the cleverness of developers, thank you author for this!
- Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 14013625, vor 8 JahrenIt works, and it is far better than Firefox's small and fixed-parameter bookmark dialog

- Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon PeterCPH, vor 8 JahrenFinally! thank you for this little jewel!
The context menu already contains 12 lines. And the [Bookmark Tab Here] menu item gets placed at the bottom. could it be possible to place it on the top of the context menu?
[Edit]
I wonder how I missed that post. Must have been tired. But thank you for your answer. :-)Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 8 JahrenAs mentioned in the previous review, the API unfortunately provides no way to control placement in the menu (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1325758). - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 12817287, vor 8 JahrenThis is the only addon that can replace the so-missed "Add Bookmark Here. Thank you very much Firefox lady.
N.B. Is it possible to add a hotkey or place "Bookmark Tab
Here" in the first place of the menu?
Thank you for the quick reply. Let's wait the fix for an access key Then.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 8 JahrenYou're welcome; I created this because I missed it too. The API provides no way to control placement in the menu (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1325758). Closest thing to a hotkey that would be workable is an access key (the underlined letter you see in default context menu items). As of Firefox 63, extensions may set an access key. In BTH 0.5, 'h' can be used as an access key. Version 0.5 is currently in beta; check the first post in the support forum, or wait for the release version. - Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 13892679, vor 8 JahrenGreat effort to bring this much needed functionality.
One thing left for full happiness: A somewhat hidden feature of 'Add Bookmark Here' that many times saved me from a lot of clicking was the 'Bookmark All Tabs...' (by default on the right click - see https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/add-bookmark-here-2/#&gid=1&pid=4 )
Any chance of adding that?Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 8 JahrenThe currently available context menu API doesn't provide information on which mouse button was clicked. Version 0.5 ( currently in beta - see first post at http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=3038053 ) adds an option (not enabled by default) to 'Bookmark All Tabs' (in current window) by Shift-clicking 'Bookmark Tab Here' from the context menu of a folder. Hope that helps! - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon RGB World, vor 8 JahrenThank you, Thank you, Thank you! This is the best replacement I have found for "Add Bookmark Here". IMO this should be baked into FF because the default bookmarking sucks. If it worked with the bookmark sidebar it would be even more awesome. Please Mozilla, give the developer the ability to modify the bookmark side bar. Thanks again firefox.lady!
