ChatGPT Pro Tools von Nikita Suiazov
ChatGPT Pro Tools is built privacy-first. By default it collects and transmits NO data. Every feature — the Chat Manager, full-text search, date and tag filters, export, tags, chat notes, highlights, saved messages and the prompt manager — runs entirely inside your browser and stores its data locally on your device (browser storage). We use no analytics, tracking or telemetry, and we never sell or share your data.
Your ChatGPT conversations are never read, stored or transmitted by the extension, except for the small amount of data you explicitly choose to sync (see Cloud Sync below), which is end-to-end encrypted.
Data is transmitted only if you use the optional Pro features:
1) License activation (Pro). When you activate a Pro subscription, your license key and a one-way hashed (SHA-256) form of your ChatGPT account email are sent to our server (gptprotools.com) to verify your subscription with our payment provider (Paddle). Your email is hashed before it leaves your browser — we never receive or store it in plain text. This is used only to validate the subscription and to bind one license to one account.
2) Cloud Sync (Pro, OFF by default). Only if you explicitly turn it on, your tags, notes, highlights, saved messages, prompts and settings are encrypted on your device (AES-GCM) before upload, so our server only ever stores unreadable ciphertext. The encryption key is derived from your license key. This is not "zero-knowledge" (we issue the license key), but a breach of the sync database alone cannot reveal your content. You can turn Cloud Sync off and remove your license at any time in the extension's Settings.
The only external service the extension contacts is our own gptprotools.com (and, indirectly, our payment processor Paddle for subscription verification). No data is shared with any other third party.
