IDK if this is possible, but, I wish it would also darken the homepage for google docs, but otherwise this add on is so far amazing, after dealing with the burning brightness of light mode, I feel like my eyeballs are cured.

Only works on Google Docs "documents". While one would assume a dark mode extension for Google Docs would work for ALL services under the Google Docs umbrella, or at the very least Google Docs spreadsheets, it only works strictly with its namesake, which to me would be like adding a dark mode for YouTube videos, but thrusting the user back into light mode as soon as they view a YouTube livestream vod. Its description isn't incorrect, but it is just a bit misleading when I can still be on "docs.google.com" and not have a dark theme.

Doesn't even affect the colors on the main screen (where it lists your documents for you to choose which one to view), making it really jarring to switch between light and dark repeatedly.

I'm also surprised it doesn't have the ability to invert black text (to make it white) without also inverting all other colors. Works fine for grayscale colors, but when it also HAS to turn red text cyan, it makes it hard to view documents formatted by/for people who don't use this extension. The only fix for this is to turn ALL text grayscale, which might be fine for people who don't mess around with formatting very much, but not for me.

All in all, technically does what it advertises decently enough, but is lacking in features. I suppose I'll keep it installed just to darken the bar at the top if I can't find a better solution.

Fantastic add-on, does all that it claims really well. The customization is amazing, I love how you can either enter a hex code or a color word like "red" or "mint".

Simply works. Page was light, now it's dark. One toggle, no fuss. Assignment was understood.

I absolutely love this extension! It finally makes Google Docs sane 🙂. I wish it had Sheets/Slides support though (and the slides should not be altered). Overall, this way is better than all those extensions that try to alter the page background though, so 10/10 , and this should be featured.

Very nice! A lot of "dark mode" add ons only change the background, not the doc, but this one does its job perfectly. UI is slightly changed, but I like it a little better tbh

Yeah this is pretty snazzy! I've had issues with other dark mode extensions in the past and on other browsers, so I'm pleased that this one just simply works. There's a convenient but unobtrusive on/off toggle in the bottom left corner too. If you use colored text a lot, don't forget to uncheck the grayscale option!

What can I say that others haven't already? It does exactly what it claims to without clutter or bugs or anything unhelpful. It's simple and versatile and overall amazing.

The only suggestion I have is to have the extension affect the "Show more" button on lengthy comments; at present that text is accompanied by a glaring white bar that breaks the darkness of the rest of the doc. Other than that, this extension couldn't be more perfect!

Love it! Simple addon with a simple UI, easy to use and efficient, changes update immediately on clicking buttons, it even has a little toggle in the bottom left when you're on docs. I personally recommend you this extension. 10/10. Thanks for the quality work waymondrang!
