Previous Super Drag user
This is a Gr8 addon but it has a two problems
1- even when u drag a text to the Url/Search bar it will still search the text or open the link
it should function when the drag-drop is done inside the page only
2- in some websites when u select a line by double click and try to drag-drop, the addon won't work, but when select the line manually it works?

I hope it get fixed soon
I was looking for alternative to Super Drag and finally found your addon

the addon now no matter what direction I drag-drop it always use the search engine like if I drag-drop to Up only
it was working when I first installed it but now it doesn't work, I tried remove > install but the problem still exist
and there is some websites it doesn't work at all

Hello, after some playing around I found the problem cause
it's the switch "privacy.resistFingerprinting"
it doesn't work with this switch enabled
I hope this is something that can be fixed

could be another add-on in conflict with this? i can't reproduce the error even in the website you gave me
could you disable your other add-ons? and try again to corner the problem

I changed "privacy.resistFingerprinting" switch, and the add-on still works, it must be something else. This add-on is simple, you can see in the source code that is quite short, it's difficult that is doesn't work unless the website you visit stops drag propagation events.

    Despite what the author is recommending, this is the superior addon compared to glitterdrag. Glitterdrag is exceptionally unreliable and does not register most of the time. This addon is simpler, works reliably, and the settings are much more straight forward. Despite this not having been updating for so long, it still works on the latest build of firefox (116 as of this review). I have looked high and low, and this is the only good drag search addon we have at the moment on firefox.

    Thanks for the great add on.
    As you mention on your page, you suggest glitterdrag instead of this add on but i think when you drag the link with glitterdrag, it hangs for a while which is annoying. That's why i have swithed to your add on.

    Working great so far. Thanks for making this addon. I couldn't live without it since I updated the Firefox and old addons stopped working.

    Nice add-on
    But still have some issues with drop behavior
    1. when I drop link on the tab, it should not open new tab, because firefox will open new tab for me.
    2. when i drop out of firefox's window, it should not open new tab.
    3. when i press the escape key, it should not open new tab

    Is there any way to open multiple links ?

    Also, when dragging, you get the default firefox icon complaining that you are doing something wrong even though it ends up opening the links anyway. It would be good if you can change that behavior to perhaps match with how Glitter Drag works. It will much more intuitive and usable that way.

    I didn't know that "Glitter Drag" add-on exists and it seems really well made! He took the effort to do it properly. Since i saw it, i'm considering to stop doing Drag Links and announce to use Glitter Drag instead. I see he started one month later, that's why i couldn't find it and had to do it myself. But let me ask you a question, why are you reviewing this add-on if Glitter is really better? Anyways thank you for showing up!

    Does not seem to work; cannot figure out what is supposed to happen when selecting and dragging text. It's a shame the developer can't decently explain his add-on.

    Excellent extension, besides one more (ScrollAnywhere) as graphics tablet user this was crucial for me to switch to 57. Thank you very much for creating it!
