von robert3353, vor 9 JahrenWhat are you thinking? why did you completely change the interface for this add on? I was on Linux earlier and thought that it just was not working correctly on FF because it was on Linux but NO I am now on Windows 7 Ultimate and it is just the same here. You used to be able to display the important info down on the lower add on bar that got replaced by the Classic theme restorer. But you are being just like the idiot FF devs. If I wanted to use a browser that looks and feels and STINKS just like the abortion called Google Chrome I would just use Google Chrome and not FF. Why is this add on now in a STUPID BUTTON up on the top R/H corner of FF. For me it is a PAIN IN MY !@@ to use it so I DON'T I have uninstalled the thing. Why did you move it off of the lower add on bar that can easily be put back by the FF Classic UI add on. I liked just being able to glance down on the lower edge of FF to see the weather Now you have to click on the stupid button. WHAT A LAME IDEA! Your add on was the FIRST AND IT WILL BE THE LAST add on that I ever send in any money to sup[port. 3 months ago I sent you $20 USD for your efforts but now I feel like DEMANDING MY MONEY BACK WHAT this is now is not what I was supporting.
I FEEL ROBBED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Before the change having this add on was the ONLY reason I was still using FF. Now I suppose it does not matter what one I use. They are all LAME I am thinking seriously of uninstalling FF along with your LAME Forcast Fox (FIXED oh I mean BROKEN!) add on.
Well I am not a developer or coder etc like the other millions of us out here where some flip burgers some build houses or work on aircraft etc etc the vast majority out here are not programmers and would never be able to develop software. All I know is that the arogant devs of Moxilla are the true culprits of all the issues over the years. Every new version of FF that they release seems like over 80% of add ons get broken. They are a lot like a vast majority of devs in the Linux community as well as the open source arena. They do not give a damn about the people who use their software and for the life of me I cannot understand why in hell they even do it. Too many of them when asked about something a user does not understand how to use or gives some negative feedback about changes that adversely affects most users all too many devs respond with read the F ing manual or hey its free you don't have to use it.
I do not understand very much of what was talked about in the two links you sent me. However this is what I have done since I posted these remarks. The real cause of the issues are not with the individuals who make the add on's the blame sits squarely with the Fire Fox devs and the Mozilla Foundation for letting the dev's do what they want with out any regard for the end users. since posting this is what I have been doing. I have done several Google searches and have come up with some names who are at the head of the Mozilla Foundation and I have also found the snail mail address for their head quarters. Tomorrow I plan on composing a detailed old fashioned buisness letter spelling out all of the reasons as to why I have uninstalled Fire Fox from all of my compuiters and mobile devices with some suggestions that they should implement if they do not want to become irrelavent to the many of us who use their software but really do not like it any more. When I finish my letter I will take it down to my Post Office and mail it Registered with a return recipt so I know that some one on the recieving end actually got my letter. I am an older individual and I remember back before the PC was even in existance. For the most part back then the vast majority of companies as well as non profit foundations were very focused on good customer service as well as good customer relations. Over the years all of that has been replaced by the impersonal tecnology. Every company you call today all have a stupid computerized answering system which usually takes about 5 to 10 minutes to wade through all of the lame menu options before you actually are able to speak with a real person. I remember the day when the first thing you heard was a real red blooded human who answered the phone who asked nicely the purpose for your call. I have found that the most effective means of communicating about an important issue is an old fashioned buisness letter, not email and definately not live chat. It will be interesting to see what sort of response if any that I get from sending my letter. A few years ago I operated a small buisness and needed at the time a very expensive and high end large format printer. It was back when hardware was very expensive, I purchased a scanner that was so expensive that it came bundled with a full version of Photo Shop that at the time cost $600 dollars. This HP printer was like that and almost cost $800 but back then the ink was very inexpensive. Then about 6 months after buying this printer the industry decided to basicly give away the printers and the cost of the ink probably increased 1000%. It was so bad that we could not afford to even use this very expensifve printer that at the time had been reduced in price to around $120 instead of how much we spent only 6 months earlier. We put it up in a closet and everytime I saw it my blood did a slow boil. Then one day I could not stand it any longer and I sat down and wrote a long detailed letter to the new CEO of HP explaining why I would never ever purchase any prduct with the HP branding on it. I did not expect to get any response at all but I was shocked at what happened. A few days after sending the letter I received a phone call from the CEO's office. They must have called directory assistane to get my phone number becasue I did not put that in the letter. The CEO's secritary called to apologize for how thier decisions had negatively affected us and asked me to send them a copy of my original invoice which I mailed to them. They sent me a check for the full price of the pinter including the tax along with extra to cover shipping the printer back to HP. The letter that was sent along with the check had instructions of where to ship the printer along with an RMA number. So you never know what might happen if you send a respectfully written letter even if it is not a positive one.

- Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon mexter, vor 22 TagenEDIT 2025.11.26: The developer restored the web toolbar! For the record, I think I was a little harsh in putting one start on an extension that I've used for more than a decade because of one change, no matter how much it upset me at the time. I'm putting it up to the 5 stars it has deserved for many years.
This extension is very configurable, has been consistently accurate, and gives me exactly the information I want immediately. No ads, no needless clicking. Thank you!

This was the main feature of this add-on. Without it, I'm not sure I see much point in it. Re-enable the feature and just put up a warning that turning it on may cause issues with some sites.
Also., where does the weather forecast even show now? I can't find it anywhere.Antwort des Entwicklers

It is the old school type of weather that is still outperform all the new weather extension an app
I really missed something from this extension and is the ability to see it from the lower right of my screen and even the upper right. Just with pass the mouse over you can see the whole week weather forecast and the past mouse over the map and big size radar appear.
Anyway, I'm happy to use the extension and congratulations to give the world a excellence extension. - Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternenvon Gabohar, vor einem MonatThanks for update this excellent add-on, is a MUST for Firefox 😀

- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Farrah, vor einem MonatNO HORIZONTAL BAR, NO INSTALL FOR ME!! I only used this add on so I had the bar to just glance at without leaving what I'm doing to click on something. And hover my mouse over the radar to bring it up. It was awesome. It NEVER messed up any webpages. Give us a way to use the last version because this is no good and I won't use it.
- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Us2inVa2, vor einem MonatIt's not functional after the update. Wish I'd have been able to prevent it updating now. Not appearing in bottom right hand corner, really really need it back working and wish i knew of how to install an older version to get it back. This addon as it WAS, is vital for me in my life, for many reasons. Please make it work right.

This was breaking many websites, including VirusTotal.
I might bring back Forecastbar in future versions when I find a solution that works for everyone, including the moderators. - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon dimelis, vor einem Monat
- Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon BeeB, vor einem MonatThere is a version 4.25 and a 4.26 version floating around on the web. I had a really hard time to find the XPI file to download. Both versions work perfectly. My 1st PC updated to 4.26 automatically, i had this installed for quite some time. I did a fresh install of firefox on the 2nd PC and ran into problems with version 4.12 as it would not load the maps. I installed 4.25 file and it worked perfect.
- Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternenvon cr0wgrrl, vor 3 MonatenThis is still the best weather add-on. The current version is NOT corrupt - it just doesn't work because it has not been signed (and the creator lives in the Ukraine, so... *fingers crossed*). Thankfully, the folks in the support forums have figured out how to get it to load. It's still hands-down better than the next most popular option, so I highly recommend checking out the forums and installing it.

As has been posted, the key is to export all of your current settings to a text file using the button at the bottom of the Options section titled "Save Settings".
Then, open that saved text file and go to the line that begins with "Locations list". For your primary location, make sure the city ID, latitude and longitude are all correct. If some other location is there, change the text to your city name and city ID. The city ID is found by opening the Accuweather web page for your location and then looking at the URL for that page. The 6 or 7 digit number for that web page is the city ID for that location. Copy it and paste it into the saved text file on the Locations list instead of any other city ID you find there. Then search the web for the latitude and longitude of your primary location and paste those into the same line instead of any other latitude and longitude you find there. Check the post in this thread dated February 25, 2024 by @Drengelus describing how to get your city ID.
If you want to add a second location, then put a comma after the information for your primary location (just before the ] bracket) and add all of the same text and information that is contained for your primary location with the city name, city ID, latitude and longitude for your secondary location. Check the post in this thread dated April 7, 2025 by @ST Dog for where to place this text in the Locations list line of the settings file.
When you have done this for all locations you desire to add, then save the file. Import this settings file back into ForecastFox using the Load Settings button at the end of the Options section.
Everything should then work, including the ability to switch between your primary and secondary locations. If you want to add additional locations, you will have to add them manually in the same way to the Location line of the exported settings file and then re-import. The graphical interface method of adding additional locations still does not work. - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Jerry44939, vor 5 MonatenThis was my favorite --but for about a year now I cannot change the area from New York
