    Just WOW, AWESOME. Workflow is now more efficient than ever before.
    My example of priority settings, only.
    PAGE SHORTCUTS.
    - Allowlist (“URL conditions” switched from Blocklist to Allowlist.)
    - Modify keys. Same/similar to YT, odysee, rumble, bitchute, etc. AND to avoid any conflicts with Vimium by Phil Crosby (FF ext)
    URL RULES
    - AutoPlay (Run Code to force AutoPlay on selected media platforms with no native support)
    - Top Quality Video (Run Code on selected media platforms to always select top quality)
    - ON for Allowlist (selected media platforms)
    - OFF Global (To avoid any conflict with Vimium for non media platforms)
    OPTIONS
    - Show indicator > Customize. To match for consistency with Custom OSD by x10shun (GNOME ext)

    I wish it had documentation wiki (Unless I missed it). No problem for me. Used search in GitHub and Google AI Mode for creating “Run Code” in URL Rules. Used FF Dev Tools to “pick element” to copy Inner and Outer HTML to give AI context for giving correct code for AutoPlay and Top Quality Video.

    I like the Global Speed intuitive settings page, UX & UI.

    Thanks for the review! That's pretty similar to how I use it. The code shortcuts/URL rules are criminally underused, but that might slowly start to change as non-coders can use AI to vibe code scripts. For example, I previously used this prompt to generate a script to autoscroll for reading a manga since I was tired of scrolling manually.

    Example prompt: "Write a self-contained JavaScript snippet that, when run, starts slowly auto-scrolling down. Pressing Arrow Up should stop the scrolling. Make sure it still works properly if I run it again later."

    Speaking of this. This is now the default behavior for new users in the latest update. Only certain popular video streaming sites are included in the allow list. The update should hopefully be approved for Firefox soon. Usually it takes a few weeks for the review process.

    I had a perfect experience using this extension on Edge. However, after switching to Firefox, I encountered an issue: after playing at an accelerated speed for a while, resetting the speed back to 1x sometimes causes audio-video desynchronization. Please note that this issue is intermittent and does not happen every time.

    Hello! Issue is unrelated to Global Speed. You can usually fix it by jumping back five seconds once in a while.

    Fantastic add-on. Easy to use and easy to switch back to what speeds I want. Godsend for people like me who like to watch youtube on 1.5-2.5 speed. Absolute must if you have a job that has elearning videos that take forever to go through. 5/5 stars from me

    Lightweight and all the elegant customization you would want and need from a straightforward app like this. Does a task that other add-ons try to do but does it better. No problems yet as of this review but the dev looks super responsive if any issues come up. A shining example of what a firefox addon should strive to be.

    it had a feature where if you briefly hold and release the right click button youtube videos would stay playing in 2x and doing the same will bring the speed back down to 1x it does not work anymore

    edit- hi developer before when right mouse button was clicked briefly and release it video stayed in 2x now it is not working such

    Hello again! That was a bug. The intended feature was "press and hold". but interesting that it was useful. I will have to look into if I should properly implement a similar feature.

    For now, you can create a new Speed shortcut that sets speed to 2x. When you press it the first time, it will go 2x, and when you press it again, it will revert back to your original speed.

    Hello! On PC, you can right click Global Speed's icon and select "Pin to toolbar" to see the current speed under the icon. Aside from that, you can tap twice the default "Set Speed to 1x" shortcut (keyS by default). When you tap that shortcut twice, it will show your current speed. This is probably not what you meant though.

    Be careful.... All I wanted was to Draw on the page (which it seems to do well) , but I didn't realize it would control the volume on Youtube, online radio-Listen Live. First slower than I wanted, then faster. . Confused me greatly. Maybe I should have figured it out faster but it wasted an hour or two of my time, and could have wasted much more. I didn't appreciate what "Apply a default speed for all video and audio." really meant. Didn't realize "compatible" meant it would do so to everything without asking me for each source. Why would anyone want all sources to be either slowed or speeded up? More details following that line would be very helpful.

    Hello! Sorry for the confusion. To optimize for just using the draw on page feature, you can go to the options page and delete all shortcuts that aren't relevant, and then turn off Global Speed through the menu. You can then activate the draw on page feature when you need it, and the rest of the functionality won't get in the way.
