Why does this module need so many permissions, such as browser activity during browsing? (honest question)

I'll give you the list of permissions I request (I don't know how firefox named them when displaying the notification to you):

1. contextMenus: to create context menu options (report, toggle...)
2. tabs: to gain access to tabs and to be able to add additional code to webpages (to hide warnings)
3. storage: to maintain whitelist
4. http://*/*: special permission to have access to any domain
5. https://*/*. the same, but for https
6. notifications: to be able to nofity users about updates
7. webRequest: to be able to see the request send by browser and check if it needs to be blocked (some javascript files which render cookie warnings)
8. webRequestBlocking: to block stuff from being loaded
9. webNavigation: to be able to apply filters when the page content is ready

    This often doesn't work and reporting cookies banners leads to page with database error. Use add-on "I still don't care about cookies" by Guus instead!

    This extension makes browsing so much smoother by automatically getting rid of those annoying cookie pop-ups.     Used to work fairly well but now I mainly notice it because it breaks various websites such as Tesco Bank, making the site completely unusable.
    I won't be using it anymore.

    no longer works, no longer needed. Enable EasyList, AdGuard in Cookie notices in UblockOrigin dashboard settings and it does the job.

    It's a functional and cool extension, but it adds the class "idc0_350" into any page, even sites without this warning about cookies, causing bugs in dark themes. I'll uninstall from now.

    Used to be great, but is now abandonware. I currently click on dozens of "ok to cookies" buttons every day. Looking for replacement for this once-great plugin!

    Works great, i.e. blocks most of the poupups, but that also means a lot of sites are broken (since accepting cookies sometimes 'unlocks' the whole site, so the addon has to be disabled). It can be a bit annoying, maybe more than the popups themselves.

    Because of thet, I wouldn't reccomend it for people who can't easliy spot that a site is broken, due to blocking the cookie popup (or don't won't to deal with this).
