    This tool prevented me from posting on Twitter over what it listed as grammar errors. When I attempted to override it, I was taken to a website wanting me to buy the premium version. I removed the tool. spell checking and grammatical checkers should only "SUGGEST". Maybe I wanted to be grammatically incorrect.

    LanguageTool never prevents you from posting anywhere. If the icon is in the way, that's a bug. Please report such cases to our forum at https://forum.languagetool.org.

    "Big checkmark obstacles view of input field, forcing to write without seeing. Could be shifted somewhere, or, better, removed completely. Whatsapp, Telegram, any on-liner input fields have this flaw.' yes this is a real problem tht happens on a lot of places and one of my only complaints, could be fix by putting the buttons off of any user field. also no auto correct? fix that an ill change this back to 5 stars. or when i get a res ponce please. also the language tool does not seem to work on this age. Hence the loong sentences.

    It recently started making the txt jump around when sending DMs in twitter rendering it unusable. Before that I preferred it to the more popular one

    This bug should be fixed already with the latest update (3.2.2). Please send feedback to languagetool.org/legal/ if you find such bugs.

    Even the premium version does not show simple article mistakes, and also the support team does not answer the questions.

    My feedback was constructive with specific examples. You can check the emails. I received email from Christopher Blum at 12:51 Thu 12/11/2020 (EST).

    We answer every single feedback, as long as it's constructive. If you want LT to work better, we need specific example sentences.

    Update: The sentence you later sent as an example is already detected on languagetool.org, the detection will soon be rolled out to all systems.

    We automatically detect the language you write, and one short word is not enough for that.

    Incredible that the "privacy-focused" Mozilla is pushing users to install this app in Firefox. The app sends *everything you write* to this company, and they can do whatever they want with it. Writing a business email with sensitive information in it? Whoops! Just amazing that people fall for this.

    No, we can not do "anything with it we want". We are a German company under the EU privacy laws, one of the strictest privacy laws in the world. Feel free to compare our privacy policy to that of other companies with similar products. If you still don't trust us, there's a section in the add-on description about to run your own LanguageTool server locally.

    Отвратительно! Просто прорва русских слов ему неизвестна. Программа сама себе противоречит и зацикливается в советах, но всегда не правильно.
    Если слово чуть сложнее речи дошкольника, то его приходится проверять через гугл и игнорировать ошибку.

    Completely context blind. It treats different lines as entirely different paragraphs and doesn't seem to be able to recognize something as simple as the end a sentence. Practically useless.

    Gendersternchen sind Rechtschreibfehler, das habt ihr noch nicht wirklich auf die Reihe bekommen, oder?
    Einfach mal danach suchen.

    Die App hackt schon brutal, wenn man z. B. Interessante Videos eingibt meldet es einen Fehler und gibt Fremdsprachen Vorschläge ab. Aber auf die Idee kommt die App nicht, dass das eventuell deutsch sein könnte. Andernfalls passiert es dann, wenn man die Seite aktualisiert, die Sprache wieder erkennt.

    PS. Auf YouTube ist mir das schon öfters passiert. Ich hoffe ich konnte helfen.

    Sorry to hear you're not happy with the free version. Hundreds of thousands users are happily using it, though. Also, the people working on LanguageTool full-time somehow need to pay their rent.

    Rating this 1 star because it begs for me to pay premium. I'm trying to write a story and need a checker and because Grammarly are content thieves I chose this one.

    I cannot check anything over 10k words, which is ridiculous.

    Sorry, the limit of 10,000 character is enough for most use cases on the web - we see that in our statistics. If you need more, you will indeed need to upgrade to premium. You can also check up to 20,000 characters for free at https://languagetool.org. Or you can download LanguageTool and have no limit at all.
