Über diese Erweiterung
Pi-hole occasionally blocks a domain a page needs (a payment widget, a CDN, an auth flow) and the page silently breaks. Figuring out which of the recently-blocked domains caused it usually means digging through the Pi-hole query log, filtering by your client IP and the right time window, and guessing.
Loophole for Pi-hole does the work for you. The browser already knows which sub-requests failed on the current tab. Pi-hole already knows which domains it blocked. The extension correlates the two in the same time window and ranks candidates by likelihood. Open the popup, click Allow on the one that looks right, reload. Done.
WHAT'S IN IT
• Confidence ranking — CDN / payment / auth / captcha hosts boost; analytics and ad trackers suppress; direct-match (a request the browser actually saw fail) is the strongest signal.
• Tab-scoped filtering — DNS noise from other apps that share your Pi-hole client IP (Slack, WhatsApp, Spotify, OS telemetry) is filtered out, so you only see what's relevant to the current tab.
• CNAME-aware — when a CNAME chain is blocked, the asked-for domain is suggested, not the blocked target.
• Subdomain aggregation with a one-click "Allow whole site" toggle (Pi-hole regex allow).
• Recently allowed list with one-click Undo.
• Mute list for noisy suggestions you don't want to see again.
• Auto-detect your Pi-hole client IP.
• Manual domain entry for cases the heuristic missed.
• Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+Y (Cmd+Shift+Y on macOS).
• Localized UI: English and German out of the box, with an in-app language override.
• Dark mode (follows your OS theme).
REQUIREMENTS
• Pi-hole v6 or newer (uses the FTL JSON API).
• A Pi-hole app password (Settings → Web interface / API → Application password). Recommended over your main login password — app passwords are revocable independently and bypass 2FA.
PRIVACY
Nothing leaves your machine except requests to your own Pi-hole. No telemetry, no analytics, no third-party servers. Your Pi-hole password is stored in this browser profile's local extension storage only.
