von Firefox-Benutzer 18892832, vor 5 MonatenWorks well for blocking spam and I've gotten a few warnings about certain sites. Some first time going and some I know to be legitimate, but that's how security goes. Still lets me go if I acknowledge the warning of course. The main issue is that some, though few, websites have loading issues. Mine specifically is my microsoft email through outlook/live.com When I go there I can't interact with much for a good 20 to 30 seconds. I've tried disabling the ad, spam and malware protections specifically for outlook/live.com email website and also disabling global protection of those features, but it still does the same. I specifically have to disable the "All protections" setting. So it seems like its still actively doing something even when i globally disable the 3 protections for all sites and only stops if I tick the option to disable all protections. I don't really care about that specifically, but just noting that seems to be why outlook/live email performance in the browser goes back to normally after disabling it. While I like the ad block feature enormously since it actually works, I don't want to disable the whole thing everytime i need to check my email so I'll just leave it off for now and circle back to it in a month or so to see if this issue is resolved with some kind of update. Been putting up with it for well over a year so its not a new thing. I just didn't think to leave a review about it until now. I would submit a report/ticket to malwares help center directly but it requires making an account and I just don't want yet another account. Hopefully they see this when checking reviews.
Edit: Actually it effects my google emails as well, just less so since the delay is one or two seconds I didn't notice as much though now that its instant its very noticable. The outlook one is basically instant when its disabled too just not as fast as google's email, but compared to the almost 30 second load time prior the difference is wild.
Edit2: March 30, 2025
I've updated to the 3.0.14 version and the huge delay in outlook email is gone! Bumping review to 5 stars since this removes the main issue I had with it.
Edit3: April 10, 2025
Updated to version 3.0.17 and a several seconds delay is happening now. Its a little better when I tell it to disable all protections for everything, but if I turn it off for only outlook then there is no difference so its still doing something again. If I disable the extention altogether then its based to instant speeds. Not sure what happened between the updates but its unfortunate. I'll try to install the 3.0.14 version and try to keep it from auto updating. Its also possible this is a firefox thing since it updates as well. So I'm not gonna just blame malwarebytes outright on this one.

- Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon Katie, vor 2 TagenI've used this for years but had to uninstall it because I couldn't copy 50% of what I needed. Half the time I tried to copy something I'd get the pop up that was a warning that something had been copied, and when I clicked "disable for this website" it did nothing. No matter what when I pasted the content it would just say "[suspicious content]."
- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Alfonso Alongi, vor 7 TagenThis was a great extension before the clipboard monitoring feature was introduced. This feature does not work properly and constantly replaces the clipboard content with “[⚠️ Suspicious Content]”.
Please provide the option to disable the feature because the extension has become unusable. I also tried disabling the “Get data from the clipboard” and “Input data to the clipboard” permissions from the Firefox settings, but it doesn't work. This is a serious problem.
I also tried sending an email to support@malwarebytes.com, which is listed in the extension support, but I received an automatic reply saying, “Your email was sent to an unmonitored mailbox account.” and to open a ticket.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 3 TagenMy apologies—that email is indeed incorrect. We will fix this. The best way to reach us is at support.malwarebytes.com.
I completely understand your concern about the clipboard monitoring feature. We are working on adding the ability to toggle this feature globally.
When you receive the popup warning, you can click "Disable this warning for this site," and you won't see this warning again. Alternatively, you can add the sites you trust to the Scams Allowlist, and you will not encounter this issue. - Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon Merriska Carrier, vor 8 TagenNormally works very well, unfortunately even after the mid July patch it was still making watching Youtube incredibly sluggish and with pop ups so I've had to temporarily disable it.

geschrieben am vor 7 TagenI'm sorry to hear that. We will look into this. In the meantime, you are right—you can turn off ad protection for YouTube and still be safe on other sites you visit.
If you can provide more details at support.malwarebytes.com, this would be helpful for debugging. - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 18760669, vor 21 Tagen

- Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 16351663, vor einem MonatI'm running the latest version of FireFox. This has warned me about entering two or three potentially malicious sites, but I get multiple occurences daily of pages virtually freezing and a warning pop-up that the plugin is slowing FF down. I've therefore disabled it for now. When I next remember, I'll give it another try to see if the issue (if there is one) has been addressed.
Edit: VERY impressed by the speed of Malwarebytes' response! Have added a diary reminder to turn it back on in a week's time to see if the fix has been implemented. In the meantime, I'll try very hard not to visit sites I shouldn't. :-)Antwort des Entwicklers

This should resolve the issue. - Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 18201410, vor einem MonatThis extensions been good for quite some time now, but recently, due to the bug that's been slowing down my browser, it's starting to get unbearable, I upload content on YouTube and browse the internet, and constantly getting a popup from my browser that its being slown down for long periods of time every 5 - 10 minutes is pretty annoying.
Until this bug's fixed, I do not recommend this extension to anyone, despite how good its features are.Antwort des Entwicklers

I am using Firefox, and lately I have been getting the error message that Malwarebytes Browser Guard is slowing down my browser and that I should consider removing it. Not good.
