• It's a massive pain to do things that require third-party sites, for example, if you put Google into its own container, logging into StackExchange sites using OAuth or logging into YouTube become quite the ordeal. 😕 Likewise, you can't log into YouTube unless you reassign Google to "always in" YT's container, then log in, then reassign Google back to "always in" its own container. It's a MASSIVE pain! Similarly, if you put eBay in one container and PayPal in another, you won't be able to make purchases anymore because you can't log into PayPal through eBay. 🤦
• Likewise, there's no way to use wildcards or container-ize subdomains, so you have to add them all manually. For example, you can't put ALL StackExchange sites (*.stackechange.com) in a container together, you have to manually visit each one individually, then do the multiple clicks and mouse-movements to set it to open "always in se container". And then, you have to do it ALL OVER AGAIN for each one's meta subdomain. 🤦 Not only is it a massive pain, but it also defeats the point to containers since SE can track you via all the other sites that aren't in a container, including drive-by one-off SE sites you might find yourself on where you don't even have an account. 🤦🤦🤦
• I temporarily disabled the addon to try to debug an issue with a site, and when I re-enabled it, ALL of its settings were gone, all the containers, all the assignments, everything. Worse, restoring the containers from a backup doesn't help because it already WIPED OUT ALL THE COOKIES! 😠 Apparently this has been a bug for a long time and they STILL haven't fixed it. (I guess they're too busy wasting their time integrating Mozilla VPN. 😒)
• It also doesn't seem to work for this site (addons.mozilla.org), I checked the code to see if they put an exception for it (for some reason 🤨), but it doesn't seem to contain one, it just doesn't work. (Maybe Firefox suspiciously treats this site in a different way at a base level. 🤔)
• The interface is extremely lacking. There is no way to directly edit the settings such as a text-box to enter domains to assign containers. The only way to do so is to actually go to a site and then assign it to a container. This has numerous problems:
◦ It allows a site to track you at least once before you assign it to a container.
◦ It doesn't work if you're offline.
◦ It doesn't work if the site redirects to another domain or even subdomains (eg www.), so it can harvest data and quickly redirect, passing the data and preventing you from assigning the original domain to a container. This addon NEEDS a proper UI. - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Ian Carolan, vor 4 JahrenThis extension does not work.
Try the following on firefox. Log into an Amazon account in a container in one tab, then open another container tab and log in to another separate Amazon account. Go back to the first tab and refresh the tab. The result is that the first tab now shows the account info of the second tab Amazon account.
So in effect these multi account containers tabs do not isolate anything at all.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 4 JahrenThat's definitely a bug if the tabs are separate containers. Are you comfortable filing a new bug (or up-voting an existing bug) at the GitHub project: https://github.com/mozilla/multi-account-containers - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 16662911, vor 4 Jahrenannoying 4 preset containers, cannot hide and coming back every time i install the addon again, even with sync enabled. Whats more, sync experience was back.

- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Bill, vor 4 JahrenDisappointing! Does NOT create containers! This ONLY allows you to manually open new tabs and duplicate existing tabs with a color code. Either way this requires extra steps, time, and thinking. Containers are a great concept along with color coded windows and related tab groupings, but none of this is offered.

- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon font21, vor 4 JahrenOlder versions worked flawlessly. Now, any time I click on a link of a page already opened in a container...it opens outside of any container. When I right-click the link and ask to open in a specific container it opens the link outside of any container. That makes this addon useless.

Don't you know your own software, Mozilla? - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 17175553, vor 4 Jahrenthis is BS... I just want to sometimes use a container, for some websites... but I clicked "something" and now youtube always opens in the personal container!? I don't want that though... I want to use youtube normally, without a container and there is no option for that! wtf
No me preguntes siempre.

Downgraded from 4 to 1 stars.
A week later I have just deleted all the TMP containers 'synced' to my new machine.
Switched off sync in add-on settings. Closed and reopened Ffox, switched on sync in add-on settings and it put all the TMP containers back in.
Oh and it's now synced a website back into a container I had removed it from on both machines.
Clicking "Remember this decision for this site" or manually changing the site list for a container are ignored or overwritten. It keeps asking though as-if there is any function in any of the controls.
WHYYYYY? What is the intended purpose of any of these functions if all it does is sync back over the top undoing everything I do to try to clean up the mess it keeps replicating?
A community of conscientious supporters' time and energy would be better spent on how it /should/ work, why it is important in theory, and improvements - instead of barely getting it to function as intended and repeatedly cleaning up the mess it spreads everywhere.
A mess admittedly created by Temporary Containers but I haven't had that installed for several years but still have several hundreds of TMP containers to delete. Again.
Good theory.
There is a way to remove the hundreds of synced TMP containers created by Temporary Containers extension, but sync just undoes everything you do, so good luck.
Also ! Watch-out! The page jumps around so if you are trying to use it for what it's for: bulk removal, it's easy to delete ones you wanted to keep.

Queria uma opção para evitar essa pergunta. antes estava maravilhoso, eu controlava rapidamente em qual container gostaria de abrir um link. Agora parece que sou idiota: "Você quer mesmo abrir esse link nesse container?".
- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 15095017, vor 4 JahrenIncessantly asks if you want links open in current container or not. What a stupid and illogical behavior to program into an extension. Smarten up.
- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Kevin, vor 4 JahrenI love this extension very much, but after updating, the "Open this site in your assigned container?" appears and I don't know how to disable it.
This page is so annoying and didn't help anything. - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Pill007, vor 4 Jahrenevery time I open a new link? This is so annoying!

- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 12436199, vor 4 JahrenThis add-on is not working as advertised. When closing multiple windows (or sometimes even just one) all the assigned containers are lost on restart. Also, closing and undoing the closing of some tabs causes the container to be lost as well.
