this would be perfect, but where do you say what the hotkey is? What is the hotkey???

Open Add-ons Manager
> Click Cogwheel Icon
> Select "Manage Extension Shortcuts"

I agree that it is a bit hard to find.
I also did not know it until I added the hotkey feature!
