geschrieben am vor 17 StundenThe 39,880 figure includes the entire repository update: about 85% of those additions are automated tests and test infrastructure, which aren’t shipped with the extension.
The actual source changes in that commit are 3,580 lines added and 755 removed across the extension and userscript. - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 17220816, vor 17 Stunden

geschrieben am vor 19 StundenNothing in the extension changed - it’s open-source, so you can verify that yourself. What changed is how Mozilla labels privacy-related permissions.
The extension only uses an anonymous, randomly generated ID, and the id of the video that you liked/disliked.
• YouTube access - needed to read the current video ID and show its dislike count.
• RYD API access - needed for API requests and diagnostics.
• Online/activity data - viewing, liking, or disliking videos.
• Personally identifiable information - RYD’s random private user ID used to count votes, not your real identity.
• Website content - mainly the video ID.
The new labels sound scary, but they describe the same data the extension has always used. - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon A., vor 19 StundenGIving 5 stars to support the dev(s) from the braindeads that can't read code and come to b*tch here about new permissions. This update is due to Mozilla. Keepa extension had the same update. Stop crying for things you don't understand. RYD is open-source, so it's even less shady than Keepa.

RYD hasn’t changed how it handles your data. What changed is how Mozilla labels these permissions - not what the extension does with your data.
The extension only uses the data it needs to show dislikes and count votes.
Its site permissions cover YouTube and its own API at returnyoutubedislikeapi.com. RYD doesn’t read other websites, and these site permissions cannot be used to access them.
Personally identifiable information - RYD’s randomly generated, persistent user ID, used to count votes. This isn’t your Google or YouTube account. Our server also sees your IP address when you connect.
Browsing activity - opening the next YouTube video, so the extension can send its video ID and fetch the new dislike count.
Website content - things like the visible like count, which helps calculate dislike estimates.
Website activity - clicking Like or Dislike.
Again, this is about YouTube activity. The extension isn’t watching everything you do across the internet - it simply can’t do that with these site permissions.
The new labels sound scary, but they don’t give the extension access to more websites.
RYD is open source, so you can see how it works: https://github.com/Anarios/return-youtube-dislike - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Yondu, vor 19 StundenWhat's up with new permissions? Now you're playing spy heh?

- Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternenvon Jordan, vor 16 TagenWas working as intended. Then all of a sudden some of my youtube videos started having disgusting buffering issues (similar to when you have 2mbps internet), and refusing to buffer unless the video was paused. EXTREMELY annoying. Disabled this addon, and the problem was sorted. Fix this please. Once this issue is resolved i'll be more than happy to update with 5 stars.

- Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon Rynn21, vor 22 TagenIt worked up till about a month ago. Now, the dislike button is broken. You can't see if you've disliked a video or not, and there's no number or thumbs down count.
- Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternenvon AnonymousInquisitor, vor 22 TagenCurrently not working. Needs fixed thank you!
- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 20101349, vor 24 TagenCompletely broken. No dislike icon, so you can't tell if you disliked a video already, and the count is in prose ("one thousand and twenty..." instead of "1023"), which is so long it won't fit in the button and gets cropped, so you can't read the count either
