Not bad but I choose this one "Tab ReTitle".

It's alright. Not as fast as "Rename Tab Title" so I am switching back to that one - this one requires that I click three times to rename any tab. It does have a couple more features, though. I appreciate the "reset all" button.

Constructive criticism for the author... I have a suggestion that I think could be handled with a "for loop" and about 20 minutes.

I really, really like the idea of the "apply to all tabs of x" checkbox. Unfortunately it does not suit my needs in its current state. It just isn't very useful when the rename is identical across tabs.

Ideally there should be a checkbox below the first one (a "sub-checkbox"), for something like "number these tabs". Assume I have several open tabs from one site. If they could be auto numbered, I can shorten the cumbersome tab title but also keep each one unique/identifiable, such as "Stats (1)", "Stats (2)", etc. This could be really useful in my opinion.

Regardless, it's a good extension.

I'd give it five stars, but the issues described by other people are still there. There's an easy solution to rename a tab more than once though: Duplicate the tab, rename it, and delete the original.

Does NOT retain the new name after a tab refresh (by pressing either F5 or Ctrl-F5).
It also does NOT allow you to rename a tab again. It's a one time deal, or nothing.
There is also no way to edit an already renamed tab, so, the only way to go back to the default tab name is to reset ALL tabs to their default name.

This add-on, as it is now, is pretty useless...

Works very well for renaming the tab once, if you try again it will blink to the new title and switch back to the previously set one.
If you fix this one little bug this will be the simplest tab renaming addon out there :D
