Page Helper provides two quick, privacy-first appearance tools for web pages: a safe, non-destructive dark overlay that improves contrast without changing page HTML, and a customizable link highlighter that outlines links for easier spotting. The add-on uses only local code, stores a single color preference using browser storage, and intentionally requests the minimal permissions needed to inject and message a short content script on user interaction. No remote code, no inline scripts, and no unsafe DOM insertion are used.
Page Helper is designed for everyday browsing: open the toolbar popup to toggle dark overlay or link highlighting, set your preferred highlight color in the options page, and the preference will be saved locally. It is small, fast, and follows AMO policies for security and privacy.
