Version 2.0.3
Veröffentlicht 1. März 2026 – 321,24 KBFunktioniert mit firefox 142.0 und höher✨ New Features- Tamil Romanization: Tamil is now romanized locally using practical phonetics (like
zh,th,aadigraphs) rather than relying on external API diacritics. - Odia Support: Added Odia to the list of supported Indian languages for native-script restoration.
- Custom Settings Modal: Replaced the clunky native browser alert with a beautifully synthesized, custom Settings UI overlay that perfectly matches the Spotify design system. This also resolves a known visual bug where Firefox dialogs appeared squished.
🐛 Bug Fixes & Improvements- Firefox Cache Fix: Resolved an issue where Firefox's local storage cache would fail to evict old lyrics, preventing unbounded storage growth.
- Flicker-Free Injection: Eliminated occasional visual flashes of original lyrics during song changes by implementing a zero-latency synchronous in-memory cache.
- Injection Reliability: Massively improved the reliability of the fetch-interceptor to ensure native-script lyrics (for Indian languages) are consistently restored on the first try.
- Performance: Reduced DOM observer overhead by dropping aggressive text-node tracking.

Version 2.0.2
Veröffentlicht 23. Feb. 2026 – 315,68 KBFunktioniert mit firefox 142.0 und höherv2.0.2 — Native Script Restoration for Indian Languages
Many Indian-language songs on Spotify display lyrics only in romanized form (e.g. "un peyaryl en perai cherttu" instead of Tamil script) even though the original native-script version exists in Musixmatch's database.
This update silently fixes that: when a supported Indian-language song is detected, the extension fetches the native-script synced lyrics directly from Musixmatch and replaces the romanized fallback before Spotify renders it. No settings or toggles required.
Supported scripts: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Punjabi, Marathi, Sanskrit, Bengali.
The Romanize and Translate features now operate on the correct native source script, producing significantly more accurate results for these languages.Quelltext steht unter der MIT-Lizenz
