- Rated 3 out of 5by cipricus, 5 days agoThis only works if swipe navigation is disabled in Android settings in favor of free button navigation, which is a big downside given that I have to lose the backward swipe navigation at system level in order to get the forward swipe in Firefox. That's why I have to use an alternative extension, which adds the forward and backward swipe within the middle area of the screen - Simple Gesture for Android.
- Rated 1 out of 5by jacha, 20 days agoIt doesn't work, even on nightlies with the new Navigation API. Plus, it requires access to all your data for websites. Every time you enter a password, it sees it. Why would a simple gesture app need this information?
Developer response
posted 20 days agoSwipe Navigator requests permission to run on all websites because gesture detection happens inside each page. This allows the extension to recognize edge swipes and show visual feedback, then trigger browser back/forward navigation. The extension is designed for gesture handling only, not for collecting passwords, form entries, or browsing content. Similar extensions require the same permissions. If you want to review exactly how this particular extension works, source code is freely available from the link in the description. - Rated 5 out of 5by RYGUY722, 7 months agoYou wouldn't believe how hard it is to find an addon that just implements these gestures like Chrome, and when I do it's rated 1 star with 17 users. I wouldn't mind if there were more settings to tweak, but this actually works so great job.
