Bitwarden Password Manager by Bitwarden Inc.

by GrizzlyAK, 5 months agoOh, man. I've been LOVING BW and this FF Add-on for years. That is, until now. They just released an "update" that completely ruins it IMO. They took a streamlined, efficient, compact design and handed it off to someone freshly out of the "how to design unusable SW school" who decided to redesign everything using huge text, icons, and burying everything you need in a menu. Now, to do what took a click before takes several. The larger text and extra buttons reduces usability drastically, by shortening what you can see of the names of your entries in the Vault, forcing you to guess or "hover and wait" to see the pop-up to tell you what you are looking at. Also, they take up about 5 acres of screen real estate with a new "+NEW" button at the top, as if the simple, elegant, and non-intrusive "+" from before wasn't sufficient. Geezus... Somebody took a perfectly good solution and ruined it. It is my hope that they are inundated with complaints and revert these ridiculous changes to the previous version.

posted 4 months agoHi. Mare sure you are on version 2024.12.4 or above, then check under Bitwarden Settings > Autofill > "Click items to autofill on Vault view" and Bitwarden Settings > Appearance > "Show quick copy actions on Vault" if you want to restore previous functionality that you may prefer.

- Rated 1 out of 5by inOr, 18 hours agoToo bad there isn't a zero rating. I can't believe anyone likes this turd. There is no help that tells you what exactly bitwarden can and cannot do, only useless marketing hype. Will it comb my records and pick up all my passwords? Or do I have to enter them one at a time? Or does it automatically record only future passwords? I have one day to file all my passwords and there are over a hundredd of them. What's this 'My Vault thing'? A file folder somewhere? Where? What exactly does it store? Have I just wasted 45 mins. trying to get this turkey to work?
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18620115, 2 days agoEverything has been perfect for years, but now they decided to redesign the plugin and basic functionality like typing, clicking, viewing and editing is broken. Just roll it back to last year's version, this redesign was a mistake.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Marmathsen, 4 days agoFeature Request - When using the keyboard shortcut or clicking on icon, the default should be to focus on the search box to quickly and easily search the vault.
This has been a really great extension with positive changes since I installed it and is very full featured compared to other password managers I have used. - Rated 4 out of 5by koca, 5 days agoUsed to be really very good when I first added it, but now not so good - autofill can take forever(not literally), extension times out when I've told it to never do that. Irritating rather than catastrophic

- Rated 4 out of 5by Piomio, 10 days agoExcellent, too bad the cursor does not focus in the search field as in previous versions.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Moleleki, 10 days agoIt's good to see Bitwarden deliver on their promise in the description: Easily manage, store, secure, and share passwords across unlimited devices :-)
To get 5 stars I would like the cursor to be in the search field right after the click on the extension icon. As it is now, I have to click a second time before I can start typing.
If I remember correctly this used to be different in previous versions. - Rated 1 out of 5by pozzeur, 10 days ago
