Hi Diego,
Thanks for contacting Malwarebytes Customer Support!
My name is William and I will help you with ticket #4734637.
The Firefox extension and the Chrome extension need to be approved by different companies.
Firefox ix is sometimes very slow in approving new versions
Since Firefox is slow in approving new versions, there may be times when the versions between Firefox and Chrome will be different
Please be assured that as soon as Firefox approves the new version, it will be updated to the latest version
This is not a Malwarebytes issue, it is a Firefox issue.
my final Firefox version build are now 136.0.1 (64 bit) and Versione di Malwarebytes Browser Guard 2.6.27 are only update 11 Jun 2024.
So I really kindly ask you, so to approve their latest build version 3.0.14 that they released this March 2025 that has already been released for chrome and for Edge so you are the only one missing to approve their latest build of March 2025.
At this point I really kindly await your response to my request.
Best regards
Diego from Italy exacly in my region Sicily

posted 8 months agoHi Diego, this is Cameron from Malwarebytes. Unfortunately this review only goes to the Malwarebytes team, not the Firefox team.
I appreciate your support and your desire for the latest version!
v3.0.14 was submitted to Firefox about 5 days ago, in the past it takes about 7 days to approve (due to this being an add-on with a larger user base).

posted 2 months agoHi Jim, thanks for reporting! Just to confirm, are you using the latest 3.0.26 version? We've fixed several things regarding performance in the most recent versions.
If you are on the latest, can you reach out at support.malwarebytes.com so we can help find the source of the issue please? - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13475572, 3 months agoSomething has changed recently that causes Firefox to slow to a crawl when this is enabled. CPU and memory utilization look normal. Even local web pages that normally load in milliseconds now take seconds to load, and often as much as 30 seconds for a normal page load.
This is badly broken! Disabled.Developer response
posted 3 months agoThat's not good!
Just to confirm you are running the latest 3.0.25 version? If not, please try upgrading.
If so, can you reach out at support.malwarebytes.com please and we can help resolve from there. - Rated 3 out of 5by Yansurnummu, 3 months ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by Katie, 3 months agoI've used this for years but had to uninstall it because I couldn't copy 50% of what I needed. Half the time I tried to copy something I'd get the pop up that was a warning that something had been copied, and when I clicked "disable for this website" it did nothing. No matter what when I pasted the content it would just say "[suspicious content]."
Developer response
posted 3 months agoI'm sorry to hear this feature is not working as expected.
If possible, can you share more details at support.malwarebytes.com please?
Specifically, I'm curious which websites are you seeing this issue?
There are two other bugs we are working on that may help resolve this issue, but it's always helpful to have as many details as possible. - Rated 1 out of 5by Alfonso Alongi, 3 months agoThis was a great extension before the clipboard monitoring feature was introduced. This feature does not work properly and constantly replaces the clipboard content with “[⚠️ Suspicious Content]”.
Please provide the option to disable the feature because the extension has become unusable. I also tried disabling the “Get data from the clipboard” and “Input data to the clipboard” permissions from the Firefox settings, but it doesn't work. This is a serious problem.
I also tried sending an email to support@malwarebytes.com, which is listed in the extension support, but I received an automatic reply saying, “Your email was sent to an unmonitored mailbox account.” and to open a ticket.Developer response
posted 3 months agoMy apologies—that email is indeed incorrect. We will fix this. The best way to reach us is at support.malwarebytes.com.
I completely understand your concern about the clipboard monitoring feature. We are working on adding the ability to toggle this feature globally.
When you receive the popup warning, you can click "Disable this warning for this site," and you won't see this warning again. Alternatively, you can add the sites you trust to the Scams Allowlist, and you will not encounter this issue. - Rated 3 out of 5by Merriska Carrier, 3 months agoNormally works very well, unfortunately even after the mid July patch it was still making watching Youtube incredibly sluggish and with pop ups so I've had to temporarily disable it.
Developer response
posted 3 months agoI'm sorry to hear that. We will look into this. In the meantime, you are right—you can turn off ad protection for YouTube and still be safe on other sites you visit.
If you can provide more details at support.malwarebytes.com, this would be helpful for debugging. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18760669, 4 months ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by SRF, 4 months agoExcellent add-on for safer browsing, without all the annoying bloat that other AV-providers implement in similar products.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 16351663, 4 months agoI'm running the latest version of FireFox. This has warned me about entering two or three potentially malicious sites, but I get multiple occurences daily of pages virtually freezing and a warning pop-up that the plugin is slowing FF down. I've therefore disabled it for now. When I next remember, I'll give it another try to see if the issue (if there is one) has been addressed.
Edit: VERY impressed by the speed of Malwarebytes' response! Have added a diary reminder to turn it back on in a week's time to see if the fix has been implemented. In the meantime, I'll try very hard not to visit sites I shouldn't. :-)Developer response
posted 4 months agoThank you for reporting, we have a fix for this pending for review by the Firefox team.
This should resolve the issue. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18201410, 4 months agoThis extensions been good for quite some time now, but recently, due to the bug that's been slowing down my browser, it's starting to get unbearable, I upload content on YouTube and browse the internet, and constantly getting a popup from my browser that its being slown down for long periods of time every 5 - 10 minutes is pretty annoying.
Until this bug's fixed, I do not recommend this extension to anyone, despite how good its features are.Developer response

The update will be automatically rolled out to our users very soon. - Rated 1 out of 5by Steve M, 4 months agoI used to enjoy this Add-on until recently. I am using Firefox, and lately I have been getting the error message that Malwarebytes Browser Guard is slowing down my browser and that I should consider removing it. Not good.
