Reviews for Okta Browser Plugin
Okta Browser Plugin by Okta Inc.

by Rich Lafferty, 4 years agoWorks as expected, but the important thing I wanted to leave here is: you can remap the key binding! Yes, Firefox uses cmd-shift-O itself, so the advertised one does not work -- but in about:addons, click the gear icon, choose "Manage extension shortcuts", and assign your favorite keybinding. I've been using opt-shift-O (which is also Ø, but Firefox is smart about knowing whether you're in a form field or not).
I wish Okta would've shipped an extension with a usable default binding, but at least it's configurable.

- Rated 2 out of 5by ShroudedNight, 6 months agoSignificant hindrances to usability:
1. Seemingly oblivious to container tabs - all shortcuts open in the default container, despite not even having an authenticated session present there.
2. Does not appear to provide any kind of unification for single-sign-on. Again shortcuts opened into the default container, then required me to re-enter my password as there was no existing authenticated session. It also did not bridge or forward the authorization captured by the extension from a different container.
3. Supposed keyboard shortcut conflicts with a bookmark menu shortcut and does not work.
Ultimately, I'm not sure what this provides beyond a 'cute' mirror of the Okta dashboard... - Rated 5 out of 5by Steven Ennis, 7 months ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13717695, a year agoIt's useful but I need the tabs to open in the work container, not the default one. Otherwise it works well.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18145713, 2 years agoI like the convenience of this app but everything opens in a new tab. By the end of a day I end up with millions of tabs. I would like an option to make it open in the current tab.
- Rated 1 out of 5by collegesista, 2 years agoI'm unable to autofill or save passwords because I'm unable to setup a pin. I had high hopes for this product, but it's virtually unusable.

- Rated 1 out of 5by samdunham, 2 years agoOkta deprecated the PIN functionality in September. It's currently October. And the Firefox plugin still asks for a PIN when you attempt to log in. So basically, Okta is useless in Firefox at the moment.
