Privacy Policy

OrbitalTrade ("we", "our", or "the platform") is a market intelligence and paper trading platform. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected by the OrbitalTrade browser extension and web platform, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.
1. Data Collected by the Browser Extension

The OrbitalTrade Chrome and Firefox browser extension collects the following data:

TradingView page interactions: When you visit TradingView chart pages, the extension reads the current ticker symbol and chart context visible in your browser tab. This data is used to display contextual trading signals and copilot analysis in the extension sidebar.
Ticker symbols: Ticker symbols you view or search for are transmitted to the OrbitalTrade backend to fetch relevant signals, anomaly alerts, and play recommendations.
Desktop notifications: If you grant notification permission, the extension may send desktop alerts for significant market signals or play status updates. Notification permission is optional and can be revoked at any time through your browser settings.
Authentication session: A session token is stored in extension storage to identify your account after login. This token is used only to authenticate requests to the OrbitalTrade API.


The extension does not collect browsing history, track URLs outside of TradingView pages, or access any data from other websites.
2. Data Collected by the Web Platform

When you use the OrbitalTrade web application at trade.orbitalpay.ai, we collect:

Trading signals and market snapshots: Price quotes, technical indicators, and signal scores fetched from public market data APIs (Yahoo Finance, CoinGecko, FRED, etc.) are stored in association with your account.
Paper trade records: Any paper trades you open, modify, or close through the platform are stored so you can track your portfolio performance over time.
Journal entries: Trade notes and journal records you create manually are stored to support your personal trading journal.
Thesis and play records: AI-generated thesis and play recommendations that you view or act on are stored for your review history.
Account information: Email address and authentication credentials managed through OrbitalPassport (our SSO service at passport.orbitalpay.ai).
Billing information: If you subscribe to a paid tier, payment processing is handled by Stripe. OrbitalTrade does not store raw card numbers; Stripe stores and processes payment data under their own privacy policy.


1. How We Use Your Data
   
   To compute and display personalised trading signals, anomalies, and AI-generated recommendations.
   To maintain your paper trading portfolio and journal history.
   To enforce daily AI token usage budgets per subscription tier.
   To authenticate your account across the extension and web app.
   To process subscription payments via Stripe.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
4. Data Storage

All platform data — market snapshots, signals, paper trades, theses, plays, and journal entries — is stored in SQLite databases on our Azure-hosted server (trade.orbitalpay.ai). Data is not replicated to third-party analytics platforms. Backups are retained for operational reliability only.

Extension storage (session token, local preferences) is stored in your browser's extension storage and is not accessible to other websites.
5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or request deletion, we will delete your personal data and trading records within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.
6. Third-Party Services

Stripe — payment processing for paid subscriptions. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
Anthropic Claude API — AI-generated thesis, play, and copilot responses are processed by Anthropic's API. Prompts include market data context but do not include personally identifiable information.
Yahoo Finance, CoinGecko, FRED, Polygon.io, CryptoPanic — public market data APIs. No personal data is transmitted to these services.

You have the right to:

Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data.
Withdraw consent for desktop notifications at any time via browser settings.
Uninstall the extension at any time, which removes all locally stored extension data.
