- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14485115, 6 years agoFinally gave up on Wallabag, an open source version of 'read it later'. this is in many respects, far superior to either! The only request I have so far is to have a default save to location other than firefox's default download folder. Yes, I know I can configure where to place downloads via 'save as' in ff, but this is a unique instance.

posted 6 years agoThanks for the review! Unfortunately, it's not technically possible for extensions to save files in another folder. However, with filename templates (cf. options), you can define a sub-folder in the download folder where to save files. For example if you prefix the template with 'saved-files/', all your files will be saved in this sub-folder. I hope this will suffice to fix your issue. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14462624, 6 years ago

Archiving always is a hard job but with "SingleFile" let's say WAS a hard job. SingleFile is the right add-on for saving a webpage as a whole and single HTML file which captures all the content just by one click. It saves your time in order to find the specific info about the original address (not the one on your hard drive) and the date that the webpage visited. There's also some more advantages to other available add-ons for saving duty as listed below:
+ Save hidden objects (like drop-down menus)
+ Much faster saving!!!
+ Save all open tabs by one click
+ Auto-Save
+ High compatibility by other browsers

Very lacking:

posted 7 years agoThanks for your review! You can see the full URL in the source code itself or by hovering the mouse on the icon to open the original page (in the infobar). It will display the URL in a tooltip.
edit: since the version 1.8.0, you can customize the text content of the infobar. For example, you can display the URL of the saved page. - Rated 5 out of 5by Mrere, 7 years ago

Though, the size of the single html file is bigger, than the regular Save As files + folders total size.Developer response
posted 7 years agoThanks for the review! Make sure "remove hidden elements" is active in your settings. This option was not enabled by default before the version 1.7 and can really help to reduce the size of the page without altering its content. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14318457, 7 years agoI have to say, I have used this extension on Chrome and for me it is the best html save addon there is. Thank you for porting it to Firefox!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Soolo, 7 years agoSingleFile incorrectly stores symbols with accented marks. For example, save this page: https://www.dumudaviklis.lt/dumu-detektoriu-montavimas/

posted 7 years agoThanks for the review. You're right, I'll try to give some info when I push a new version. I know that viewing the commit history on GitHub is not an acceptable solution :p. - Rated 5 out of 5by recycler.fox, 7 years agoWorks great. Will be even greater to see Release Notes - updates are so frequent that it raises curiosity and fear to miss a new feature.

- Rated 5 out of 5by 四天王寺, 7 years agoこの手の魚拓ツールでは「Mozilla Archive Format, with MHT and Faithful Save.(MAFF)」
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/mozilla-archive-format/
issue(解決すべき問題)や Requests(要望)が、直ぐに、更新版に反映されます。一日のうちに、何度も「更新版」が Release されるほどです。
たいへん真摯で、情熱溢れた仕事ぶりをされており、大いに感銘しました。

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14275539, 7 years agoReally cool extension for OSINT. Much better than the regular "save page option".
Instant adoption for this add-on, I really already love it.
One suggestion : Could it be possible to generate a sha256 fingerprint of the fileat the same time?
Thank you!Developer response
posted 7 years agoThis is now possible since version 1.6.14. Look at the option "File name > template" to see how to add the hash to the filename. - Rated 5 out of 5by Saenko, 7 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by The Chan Droid, 7 years agoOnly just installed it, went through the settings and have saved a couple of pages, but it appears to do what it says on the tin.
I've found some pages will not save, however - The icon on the bar stays greyed out, and I get no action other than the page dimming when I click on the icon.
Will leave it installed and test it further.Developer response
