But in FF ver 57, S-M ended its life, due to the FF's change, cut off "XUL", which used in S-M, and moved to "Web extension".
This TSM seems an good "ALTERNATIVE" of S-M "JUST" for *FF 57*, for me.
TSM is *NOT* a successor of S-M. Different developer makes TSM than S-M. Words of "Session Manger" in TSM made me confusing, for the 1st time. If its name was "TAB MANAGER", might not be confusing for me.
You don't have to take risk to move from S-M to TSM, if you are still using older FF(ver <=56) or PaleMoon, which still has XUL, which is cut off in FF57. (I still use S-M on PaleMoon)
***
Following issue was fixed in TSM 1.6.1, using "tab lazy load" option. (FF ver 57.0.1 x64)
Good job! (2star -> 4star)

at TSM ver: 1.5.0, FFver: 57.0 x64.
"Open" with 100-200 tabs with 4 windows saved, only 1 window opens and 15-20 tabs only resotred.
With or without Tree-Style-Tab. Even in case of tabs with only http/https-style, this occures.
Exporting sessions from this extension, 4 windows and 100-200 tabs seems all saved in the exported file, instead.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12598512, 4 days agoEs öffnet die Tabs doppelt. Duplicates the saved windows and doubles up on my memory usage. Ich habe gewartet ob es ein Update gibt, aber als letztes Update steht 28.03.2025
- Rated 4 out of 5by vee, 7 days agoThe delete button is very close to open button and because of that, some time I clicked on wrong button to delete instead of open. It would be better if you add confirm dialog before do delete the session (even you already had undo but it will be better to ask for confirmation on delete).
- Rated 5 out of 5by Ruvvy, 8 days agoI had around 500 tabs open that failed to get restored beyond the first 10 when I shut Firefox down, which hadn't happened before. This extension brought them all back which saved me quite the headache. Of course, it couldn't bring back the groups from Tree Style Tab, but it was unrealistic to expect it to save another extension's data.

- Rated 2 out of 5by ninjatendo, 12 days ago"Support tab groups" is false advertising -- or it's only true insofar as it will save the tabs /within/ tab groups just fine, as long as you didn't actually want to /keep/ those tab groups

- Rated 5 out of 5by Aap1Monkey1, a month agoFor years now Firefox session restore only puts the first window at the same position, the feature to let Tab Session Manager do this is golden as windows are now always restored in the same order. The easy access to auto session backups also golden. Together with Winger extension to stash windows, finally an upgraded browse experience which works nice and safe for 1000's of tabs over a 100 windows ; ))

- Rated 4 out of 5by curiosity, a month agoWhile it's come a long way since its inception (I switched to this after a feature-rich and reliable session manager that I used was discontinued after Firefox's engine overhaul), it still seems to act up sometimes with too many tabs open.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Jackie Daytona, a month agoCurrently, this add-on just duplicates the saved windows I had open and doubles up on my memory usage. It doesn't seem like this is needed anymore with Firefox's native support.
- Rated 1 out of 5by aedgsegsfvw, 2 months agoWARNING!!!!! If you have more than 10 tabs open, this will overload the extension. As a self-defence mechanism, the extension deletes the saved session.
It cannot import a saved session containing more than 10 tabs. - Rated 5 out of 5by senoa, 2 months ago
- Rated 2 out of 5by Harry Btor, 2 months agoIn the case of tab groups, this add-on does not preserve original tabs grouping while importing a session: it imports all tabs uniformly, i.e. without any tab grouping. Dear developers, please, correct this fault. P.S. Yet pinned non-grouped tabs are imported correctly (as pinned).

- Rated 1 out of 5by Lebelon91, 3 months agoWorked great for a long time, but in the last month or so, the "autosave sessions" feature hasn't worked at all. I've checked my sessions to try to find windows/tabs I wanted to go back to, and the last thing saved was over a month ago even though I know I had Firefox at least set to restore previous windows. But this extension didn't save ANYTHING over the last month+ even though I had it set to do so, so that feature doesn't do anything anymore apparently. I've lost dozens of sessions due to either a bug or recent updates, but either way this is bullshit.
