About this extension
TTV AB is a lightweight browser extension made specifically for Twitch.tv. It blocks preroll and midroll ads, blocks anti-adblock popups, helps preserve playback during ad recovery, and restores your selected quality after playback returns to normal. Everything runs locally in your browser.
✨ Features:
✅ Blocks preroll and midroll ads
✅ Blocks anti-adblock popups like “Support streamer by disabling ad block”
✅ Helps avoid purple-screen style playback issues during ad handling
✅ Restores your selected quality after ad recovery
✅ Simple enable/disable toggle
✅ Accessible popup controls with live-updating stats
✅ Persistent Ads Blocked and DOM Ads Blocked counters
✅ Statistics dashboard with time saved, weekly charts, and achievements
✅ 12 achievement badges to unlock
✅ Language Selector - 11 languages supported (EN, ES, FR, DE, PT, IT, JA, KO, ZH-CN, ZH-TW, RU)
✅ Per-channel ad blocking breakdown
✅ Modern animated UI
✅ Lightweight and fast
🎮 Usage:
1. Navigate to Twitch.tv
2. Open any live stream
3. Ads will be automatically blocked
4. Click the extension icon to enable or disable it
5. Change language via the dropdown in the footer
⚙️ How It Works:
TTV AB intercepts Twitch HLS video playlists locally in your browser and can:
• Remove ad segments from M3U8 playlists
• Switch to backup playback paths when ads are detected
• Cache relevant segments to help keep playback smooth
During active ad recovery, Twitch may temporarily fall back to a lower-quality backup stream, such as 360p, while the extension keeps playback alive. Once the ad window ends and the player returns to native playback, your selected quality is restored.
🔒 Privacy:
TTV AB works entirely locally in your browser and does not send your browsing activity or usage data off your device.
