- Rated 5 out of 5by Heinz, 7 years agoI tested a couple of ultrawide video extensions on the Firefox Add-ons site, and this one is clearly superior.
One feature I miss is an on/off toggle (by keypress), or an option to rebind the shortcut keys.Developer response
posted 7 years agoThe option to rebind the keyboard shortcuts is definitely one of the things that I'm planning to add at some point, the problem is that something more pressing always comes in the way.
On/off toggle is a good idea, actually, but I'll have to think about it. (toggling and three states don't always mix too well). - Rated 5 out of 5by hoidraar, 7 years agoDoes its job. Minor complaint: upscaling artifacts are quite noticeable, maybe give an option to play with various blur options?

- Rated 5 out of 5by Eldrazu, 7 years agoIt works! If you need to customize it, though, you're gonna have a hard time.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13671024, 8 years agoWorks nearly flawlessly (the buttons on the video player disappeared, but they keyboard shortcuts still work just fine). Love it.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 6001196, 8 years agoAwesome job! Since I got an ultrawide monitor, I was sick of all the retards who post ultrawide videos with black bars on YouTube. This add-on solves the problem beautifully, keyboard shortcuts and control panel added to the video work perfectly too!
Thank you! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13606013, 8 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12700324, 8 years agoGreat plugin, works perfectly on youtube but stopped working on netflix recently. Still a must have to any 21:9 users.

Great work! - Rated 5 out of 5by Jake B, 8 years agoI love this add-on.
Unfortunately, it doesn't play nice with Maxime RF's Enhancer for YouTube. When both add-ons are enabled, videos are left-aligned in fullscreen mode which looks awkward. If this is unavoidable, it would be great if there was an option to enable/disable one site or the other (I mostly use it for Netflix anyway). - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13132170, 8 years agoI love the plugin, great job :D
But I would like to ask for an additional feature:
I would like to align a video in fullscreen to the left, so it is not centered (Thats useful with 21:9 resolution).
Is that possible? - Rated 5 out of 5by RobJoy, 8 years agoI am sure everyone knows Waterfox fork of Firefox.
Well this addon can not be installed as it is saying it is corrupt.
EDIT: Installs just fine on Firefox, and it works as advertised. Waterfox is to blame.Developer response
posted 8 years agoDoes it install on Firefox? (And no, for the purposes of this question, Waterfox isn't Firefox)
If yes - problem with Waterfox. Don't blame me or this addon for not working. Blame Waterfox devs for screwing up the fork.
If it doesn't install in Firefox (non-dev), your Firefox profile is corrupted. Make a new one and try again.
Uploads to AMO are moderated and reviewed before being approved. When reviewers notice and point out something as trivial as two stray console.logs that I forgot to disable in prod, one would imagine they would also notice extension not installing. I'd probably also notice that.

Edit: just tried out Waterfox. Things get a bit funnier than I first expected.
Turns out Waterfox uses the same profile as Firefox (and that you can't run both browsers at the same time). Which means that every extension that you install in Firefox is also available in Waterfox. (Extension itself seems to work with Waterfox if installed via Firefox).
All in all, you should probably file a bug report to Waterfox and attach this extension to it, because everything is correct and to spec on my end. I'm 90% certain it has something to do with Waterfox not reading manifest.json correctly. - Rated 5 out of 5by CatRoot, 8 years agoFinally! Fantastic add-on, must have for 21:9 users. Works great!
- Rated 5 out of 5by ColorshyTheDull, 9 years agoWorks just as before but now with Netflix support! Thanks for making this great add-on. I prefer Firefox much over slow chrome.
