- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14883207, 15 hours agoHad to sign in to give this a solid 1 star! They gave up on trying to update and make the features work. Full of bugs and the #1 feature I tried 30+ days ago and today, still does not work at all. You cannot BLOCK channels! This is critical and a huge feature ignored. Lazy for such a huge traction for an app, to completely not worry about fixing. I see this ongoing issue is raised on Github with no feedback or ongoing support.

- Rated 3 out of 5by stapuft, 7 days agoWorks allright, but on mobile, you have tonswitch to "desktop mode" to make some features work, like automatically redirecting from the shitty "shorts" page to the actual YouTube page for the video.

posted 3 days agoHi! Please add the mobile URL in our github repo if you will.
This is made for www.youtube since 2012 (and www.youtube changes alone required a lot of volunteering).
The descriptions sais (+preparing mobile m.youtube). Please give fair feedback. (We can flag it as "Misplaced bug report or support request", but prefer to keep this information visible right here.) - Rated 5 out of 5by Lakyn, 10 days ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by MetalGear89, 10 days agoFantastic add one. Youtube is awful to use on desktop without it.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 19465923, 14 days agoThemes and some settings are ok. I just do not like that whenever I switch from a tab to youtube and vice versa, there is a short amount of time where the page reloads. I have no idea why it keeps doing this. It also has issues wherein despite not enabling the "Force videos to start from the beginning", it still forces videos to start from the beginning. It's annoying and worth the uninstall. Hopefully they fix such issues by then

- Rated 2 out of 5by TS, 17 days agoIt's very hit or miss if any of its features actually work on mobile. The interface is trash and the prevent autoplay toggle blocks the video from loading entirely.

Test it before making it available! - Rated 3 out of 5by ueeu, 19 days agoVery good QQL feature add, however it is extremely performance intensive, do NOT use the build in theme feature 100% will slow down site responsiveness.
Also it would be nice to add a action menu because the YouTube ui keep changing so I can stop seeing buggy UI
Edit: CPU usage wise I think so, but it seems to also interfere with page loading, most of the time for me it's a blank pageDeveloper response
posted 3 days agoYou mean full replacement UI?
There currently is a CPU hungry bug only for the moment while you are changing our settings and only in Firefox. - Rated 5 out of 5by Vangxim, 21 days ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19242234, a month agoThis addon claims there are filter rules. There are no filter rules that I could see. Searching the menu for "filter" reveals nothing. At best, you can "block" channels and videos, a feature youtube already has.
Also, installing this caused all of my firefox tabs on youtube to stop responding, forcing me to close and reopen each.
It's weird to me how strongly they are marketing this addon, too, and the uninstall page vaguely tries to guilt trip you for removing the plugin. I realize this is recommended by mozilla, but it's tripping a lot of sus metrics for me, and I can't recommend it.
Edit: Further review of the developer's responses on low scoring reviews make me even more certain this isn't a good idea. 1) The developers respond to claims the plugin slows users' browser down with "nuh uh no it doesn't" and "yeah well why don't you measure the milliseconds with dev tools?", and 2) The devs claim that voting less than 5 stars is "voting against the project". Why does that matter? Why does your score on your open source, free project matter? It's almost like you're pushing for popularity on your plugin for some other reason. It's incredibly suspicious, and that type of language is couched in incredibly manipulative undertones. *Don't install this.* This thing is full of red flags.Developer response
posted 25 days agoHi, the word filter applies to our many layout and display:none features. However content-filtering can be the biggest roadmap item since we have not implemented or been asked, most of it. You can read up on it here https://github.com/code-charity/youtube/issues?q=is%3Aissue%20state%3Aopen%20label%3A%22Filtering%20%26%20Discovery%20(of%20Content)%22 )(half of which remains monologues with no user participation) https://github.com/MarcGuiselin/youtube-refined did some, yet only found about 1000 users then. Recently our new "competitor" Untrap has some too i think and is surprisingly the most / only likely developer to be reading our repo and roadmap. (If you can, suggest them not to collab / not reinvent this difficult task https://github.com/code-charity/youtube/discussions/1881). You can give fair feedback and you might not want to frustrate volunteers. We can also flag this ("Misplaced bug report or support request"), but prefer to keep information visible. There is no marketing budget and usually that would leave traces. When driven by suspicion, you might have more fun /success examining code. (You could enhance global security scanners or run your own).
