Das Unternehmen Eyeo bietet Nutzern kostenlos den Werbeblocker AdBlock Plus an. Damit werden alle Anzeigen, die in einer sogenannten Blacklist aufgenommen sind, herausgefiltert. Das brachte Eyeo Klagen von Medienunternehmen - darunter auch SPIEGEL ONLINE - ein, die darin einen Eingriff in ihr Geschäftsmodell sehen. Die Medienunternehmen kritisieren auch, dass Eyeo zugleich Geld damit mache, Werbung durch den Eintrag in eine sogenannte Whitelist wieder zu ermöglichen. Nach Angaben des Unternehmens wird nur nicht-aggressive Werbung in die Whitelist aufgenommen. Manche Unternehmen zahlen für die Aufhebung der Sperre. Aus den
Einnahmen finanziert sich wiederum der Werbeblocker.
Vor dem Oberlandesgericht (OLG) Köln hatte Axel Springer noch einen Teilerfolg erzielt. Das OLG hatte keine Einwände gegen das sogenannte Blacklisting, mit dem Werbung blockiert wird, befand aber das sogenannte Whitelisting für rechtswidrig. Beim Whitelisting müssen Unternehmen dafür zahlen, dass Werbung durchgelassen wird, die den Eyeo-Richtlinien für akzeptable Werbung entsprechen.
Axel Springer werde jetzt Verfassungsbeschwerde wegen Eingriffs in das Grundrecht auf Pressefreiheit einreichen, kündigte der Anwalt des Verlags an."

Disabling this plugin resolvs the issue so something to do with this plugin being intefering with youtube video player.

posted 9 hours agoWe are using a new strategy to handle YouTube's anti-ad blocking warning. When we detect YouTube's notification, we will automatically pause Adblock Plus so you can continue watching without disruption. The pause is temporary so if you leave YouTube and return later, it will remain unpaused until the warning is detected again.
