Sorry, but no source code provided plus closed license of this extension is unacceptable.

posted 2 months agoHi, thanks for the feedback. I completely understand your privacy concerns.
I actually built this extension for my own daily use, so privacy is my top priority. I do plan to open-source the project in the near future. However, making the code public carries a high risk of accidental sensitive data exposure. Therefore, I need to ensure I have a robust process to effectively sanitize and secure the code base before releasing it.
Please stay tuned, and thank you for your patience.

An observation after using it with Iceraven (Android):
- it appears it is affected by Total Cookie Protection (network.cookie.cookieBehavior = 5) or the 'Isolate cross-site cookies' option in Enhanced Tracking Protection, so partitioned folders are not cleared... this is a little difficult to explain. But by disabling the isolation (choosing 'Cross-site and social media trackers' or network.cookie.cookieBehavior = 4) this can be avoided. CAD also required this to work properly.
I can see that it is clearing the ls and idb folders for sites as I have set it, leaving just the .metadata-v2 file in /storage/default//. It would be great if it could delete the whole folder, but this is probably beyond the capability of WebExtensions. - Rated 5 out of 5by Save For Read Later, 21 days agoAn excellent extension that does what it says. Well done!

posted 2 months agoEdit: Hello! Great news – I have just implemented the Whitelist Mode as requested. You can update the extension to find this new feature.
Thanks again for your feedback and your willingness to contribute!

I actually plan to implement this feature soon! I’m aiming to have it ready in about a week or so.
Regarding the source code, I would really love to make it open source. However, the code currently contains a lot of personal data in the comments, and I just haven't had the free time to scrub and clean it up properly yet. I hope to get around to that in the future when my schedule clears up.
Regardless, thank you so much for using and enjoying the extension! - Rated 5 out of 5by WaterMoz, 3 months agoWorks as advertised and a worthy successor to CookieAutoDelete. Keep up the great work!
