- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15143144, 6 years agoI love 1Password, but I'm sticking with the Desktop App extension. This one is too cumbersome to use (it requires a new browser window be opened if you want to edit any passwords/whatever) and I encountered a bug as soon as I installed--I can't copy any text from the 1Password Extension (there is literally no data in the Windows clipboard) and I had to go to the edit window-whatever to copy straight from the boxes where you edit text. The desktop extension works, so I'm using that.

posted 6 years agoI’m so happy to hear you love 1Password — I do too. :) Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. 1Password X fits my workflow best, but I understand that’s not the case for everyone.
With that said, I’m happy to let you know the `copying` bug you encountered has been fixed, and we’ve since made a lot more awesome changes to the way 1Password X works.
Several months ago we released a new feature on macOS to be tested in the 1Password X beta for Chrome; It’s called Desktop App Integration. Desktop App Integration allows 1Password X to connect with the 1Password desktop app, leveraging it for its locking and unlocking capabilities, item editing features and more. This means while using Desktop App Integration, clicking the “Edit” button in 1Password X results in a 1Password Mini modal(popup) opening up with full item editing capabilities (instead of having to edit on 1Password.com in a new web page). The team just released Desktop App Integration for Firefox and is working hard to tune it up for use in Windows and the stable 1Password X builds. If this is something you’re interested in learning more about it, the following 1Password Forum post by my buddy Mitch explains how it works - [1Password Discussion Forum : Desktop App Integration]https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/101231/introducing-desktop-app-integration-for-mac/p1). Let us know if you decide to give 1Password X another shot sometime. :) - Rated 1 out of 5by linda pearce, 6 years agoI WAS UNABLE TO USE 1PASSWORD ON MY APPLE. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15077213, 6 years agoSince I -have to- use this add-on in the account-integrated version I am not happy with 1password anymore. The integration is far from smooth. Every time I have te enter my masterkeyword in the pop-up window is flips away, and when I have to edit an entry I have to login on my account. This is A BIG LOSS of functionality, guys!
(I even use Safari (that works with the old smooth version) to avoid this annoying workaround in Firefox)Developer response

posted 6 years agoI’m so sorry to hear you had trouble getting 1Password X set up on your device. Can you send us an email detailing any issues you ran into at support+x@1password.com? My team and I would love to help you sort things out. ❤️ - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14647736, 6 years agoThis is perhaps the single most frustrating app on my machines. Doesn't work at all with Firefox, isn't accessible on my phone suddenly. Keeps asking for my account detail even tho I have a license. Maddening

posted 6 years agoHey there! A 1Password.com membership is required to use 1Password X, but you may be looking for our desktop-dependent 1Password extension. You can find the extension that’ll work with standalone licenses here: https://1password.com/browsers/firefox/
If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support+extension@1password.com. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14553123, 6 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14528284, 7 years agoThis add on almost never works. No clue why but it opens a new empty tab with a JS console error when clicking on the icon. It also flashes open and then closes. Very unhelpful and needs work.

posted 6 years agoOh no! I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble getting 1Password X to work on your device. If you’re up for it, my team and I would love to troubleshoot this with you. Would you be willing to send us an email detailing the issue at support+x@1password.com so we can get to the bottom of this? - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14523712, 7 years agoVery buggy. Often refuses to open when you click on the extension icon (just flashes and immediately closes). It's very expensive compared to other similar services and given the premium price I'd expect something that works properly. Unrealistically difficult to install on a mobile device so this extension isn't really great for cross-device usage.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14352397, 7 years agoIk heb de gekochte versie 1 Password 4. Nu blijkt dat deze extentie niet meer werkt en je wordt gedwongen de abonnementsversie te kopen. Dat weiger ik.

posted 6 years ago1Password X, in particular, requires a 1password.com subscription. Our desktop-dependent extension will be the one you’re looking for if you have a standalone license. I hope this helps, but feel free to reach out to us at support+extension@1password.com with any questions! - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14348047, 7 years agoCette version de l'extension ne fonctionne pas quand on a acheté 1Password sans abonnement :-(
Developer response
posted 6 years agoSorry for the confusion! I believe you’re looking for our other 1Password extension that works with standalone licenses. 1Password X does indeed require a subscription to use. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14159553, 7 years agoRequires PAID subscription. If you are using the pay once stand alone version this extension will not work. Just FYI, 1Password extension works great on Safari and Chrome with the stand alone app. Just another ploy to suck your wallet and erode value for something you already paid for.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14147832, 7 years ago1Password used to be so good.
Now they rush on adding new features, leaving all their different programs totally inconsistent.
e.g. There's no way to add 2FA to a password using this extension, you need to install and open the MacOs (or window) program. I wonder how people using this on linux only do.Developer response
posted 6 years agoWe greatly appreciate the feedback! Because of your review, we added support to scan one-time password QR codes allowing you to make your 1Password item 2FA capable a few months ago. In my opinion, it's pretty awesome since we can automatically find the QR code on the page for you. There's no need to drag around a scanning window. To give it a try, view the item details for an item that doesn't already have a one-time password secret and click the QR scanner button.
I hope this helps to win back your love of 1Password, but if there's anything else you'd like to see, please let us know. ❤️
